Raquel Leviss Has Been “Surrounded by So Much Love” Following Her Breakup With James Kennedy
The Vanderpump Rules cast member reveals how she's feeling after confirming the breakup with her fiancé.
It's been less than a week since Raquel Leviss and James Kennedy announced their breakup after five years together. "We have two different goals," the Vanderpump Rules cast members said, in part, in their joint statement on Instagram posted over the weekend.
Since then, Raquel shared updates on her life after the breakup, which included moving, and having a fun-filled girls' night. And recently, she opened up even more about how she has been feeling following the split from her fiancé.
"Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement," Raquel wrote in the caption of her December 8 post, adding, "I feel so grateful to have such supportive family and friends during this time. I have been surrounded by so much love and been enjoying my girls night in with with my dear friend [Jenny Ting] and her adorable cuddle big fur baby, Lexi."
James also took to Instagram to express his thoughts post-breakup, and to share his gratitude for the support he has received from friends.
"Last day of filming today and what a year it has been (to say the least)," he wrote in the caption of his December 8 post. James went on to add, "Today one chapter ends and a new chapter truly begins for me. Not sure what I’m going to do but I do know one thing, I will continue my journey without alcohol, I will find my true self and the music never dies. Thank you to all my friends that have reached out I appreciate you all so much. Cheers."
James and Raquel's relationship has long been a buzzy topic, as the pair dated for several years before announcing their engagement in May of this year. And Vanderpump Rules fans recently got front-row seats to their romantic Coachella-themed proposal in an October episode during Season 9.
Speaking of the former couple's proposal, Tom Sandoval — who played a pretty big part in making it happen — and Ariana Madix shared their reactions to the news of the split during their December 7 appearance on Watch What Happens Lives with Andy Cohen.
"We were just at Disneyland with them, like, two days before that, and I never would have thought anything was amiss, so it was very shocking," Ariana said, noting, "When I saw her Instagram Stories of her moving out and stuff with her dad, I was like, this feels very real."
Sandoval also added, "It was probably the most surprising moment we've had on Vanderpump Rules in years."
