Paris Hilton Defends Father Rick After Mauricio Umansky’s Comments: “Enough”
Kyle Richards’ niece calls out her uncle for “speak[ing] negatively” about her family and the Hilton & Hyland firm.
In case you missed it, Paris Hilton is clapping back at her uncle, Mauricio Umansky, following comments he made in a preview for his show that is now stirring up headlines. In the clip making the rounds, Mauricio reflects on his time working for Paris' dad, Rick Hilton, at Hilton & Hyland before he left to form his own real estate firm, The Agency.
Those comments about Rick certainly did not go missed by Kyle Richards' niece, who had a pointed response, which she shared to Instagram. The timing, it should be noted, is interesting as the beef between Paris and Mauricio comes amid Kyle and Mauricio's separation, which has been a hot topic on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as well as on the upcoming season of his real estate show.

What Did Mauricio Umansky Say About Rick Hilton’s Firm Hilton & Hyland?
In the clip, Mauricio shared details on what it was like for him during his tenure at Hilton & Hyland and why he "left."
"So I think I got kind of f–cked by Hilton & Hyland," he said. "And when I say f-cked, you know, like, today I'm happy. But there was a hundred agents at Hilton & Hyland. They did a billion dollars for the first time a year. I was 19.6 percent of their production. I went to Rick and said, 'I'd really like equity, right, and to be a partner.' He went back, talked to Jeff [Hyland], he got back to me, and basically, I was told 'no.' Then I went home, I talked to Kyle, I go, 'This is really going to cause a lot of stress between you, your sister, and your family, and I don't want to do this move of leaving and starting a company if you're not comfortable."
He says that after speaking with Kyle, she was "100 percent supportive" of his choice to go out on his own. Mauricio went on to call Hilton & Hyland "an amazing company. I would never be caught speaking poorly about them because I don't think poorly about them. I am Rick's brother-in-law, but unfortunately, it got sour because it really affected the family, Kyle more than anybody."
He added that it caused a rift between the families and that they "stopped speaking to her" but that "she understood that what was done to me was wrong. She stood by me, and at the end of the day, I needed that."
Paris Hilton Defends Rick Hilton in Response to Mauricio Umansky’s Comments About Hilton & Hyland
Since Mauricio's comments went public, they have caused quite a buzz and Paris has since addressed the statements made by Mauricio on Instagram.
She wrote in the comments section of a fan account: “My father is a consummate gentleman and has always taken the higher road. He would never speak negatively about his family-especially in the press. Frankly we are all sick of him using the Hilton name every chance he gets to plug his lame show. It is enough already.”
Where Paris Hilton Stands with Kyle Richards After Mauricio's Comments
The same day Paris responded to Mauricio's statements, she posted to her Instagram Stories a clip of her and Kyle joking around with each other about how "cool" Kyle is as an aunt ala Amy Poehler in Mean Girls being a "cool mom."
And on March 13, Paris dropped the latest episode of her podcast, I Am Paris, which includes an interview with Kyle in which the latter recalled that she used to go to clubs with Paris back in the "2000's" and that "Kathy [Hilton] felt safe cause I was the aunt."
A cool aunt indeed.
