You Can Own a Piece of Padma Lakshmi's Wardrobe for a Good Cause

The #TopChef host is auctioning off her clothes for a charity close to her heart.

Make some room in your closet because Padma Lakshmi is auctioning off some of her favorite clothing items. The Top Chef host is selling off her items to raise funds for the Endometriosis Foundation of America, which she co-founded. "Auctioning off some of my favourite items on @UnionFifth. It's a great way for you to help @Endofound and get choice pieces for your closet!" she shared on Twitter on Monday, later revealing which items are up for sale.

How to Watch

Watch Top Chef on Bravo and next day on Peacock.

The items come from a number of high-end designers, including Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Fendi, Derek Lam, and Saint Laurent, and can be yours for the right price, with the money going to a worthy cause. "Endometriosis took away 25 [percent] of my life from the day I got my first period. That’s time when I was stuck in bed and in an incredible amount of pain, while I missed out on time with my family, professional commitments, school dances, and so much more," she said in a statement on the auction's page. "It took over 20 years for me to get diagnosed and I want to make sure that no other girl suffers the way I did.”

Padma has always been open about her personal struggle with endometriosis. She even addressed it in her memoir, Love, Loss, and What We Ate, released earlier this year, sharing that having endometriosis contributed, in part, to the dissolution of their three-year marriage. "You know all of the book was difficult to write about. I couldn't talk about endometriosis without talking about my own marriage in a frank way. I have a women's health foundation here in the states which I co-founded in 2009," she told NDTV about the parts of the book that reflect on that time in her life. "And, you know, it was my life's mission to raise awareness about this disease that affects at least 10 percent of all child- bearing women and the reason that that's in the beginning is I also wanted to get it over with."
