Mike Shouhed’s Girlfriend Paulina Opens Up About Getting to Know His Family
The Shahs of Sunset girlfriend called her beau’s parents the “ideal in-laws.”
Over the course of his relationship with girlfriend Paulina Ben-Cohen, Mike Shouhed has been open about the strong bond he feels with her two kids from her previous marriage. Now, Paulina is sharing what it was like for her to get to know Mike’s family, and specifically, his parents.
During a question and answer video posted on their YouTube channel, the Shahs of Sunset couple spilled personal details their relationship, from how they first met to how they were able to blend their families together — which include not just her children, but also Mike’s parents and other relatives.
“They were very resistant at first,” Paulina admitted when asked how long it took to feel like a part of Mike’s family. “But I feel like once Mike’s parents saw that I truly love him and adore him and that I make him happy, that’s honestly when I feel like they accepted me.”
Paulina went on to gush over her now tight-knit relationship with his mom and dad, saying, “They’re honestly like an ideal — the ideal in-laws, honestly.”
In addition to being close with his parents, Paulina seems to also be a hit with his brothers. Earlier this month, Mike shared an Instagram photo featuring his girlfriend posing alongside his siblings.
"3 of the most important people in my life!” he wrote in the caption. “My brothers weren’t lucky enough to have a biological sister, but when I was blessed enough to meet the love of my life-she stepped in & filled that void for them. My heart is full! I’m the luckiest guy in the world."
