We Have a Major Update on Mia Thornton's Friendship with Jacqueline Blake
RHOP's Mia Thornton revealed where she currently stands with her childhood best friend.
Mia Thornton's friendships with the other ladies on The Real Housewives of Potomac may often be in flux, but her relationship with Jacqueline Blake existed for decades before she joined the cast.
Jacqueline appeared as a friend of the ladies on Season 7 of RHOP, but her close, sister-like bond with Mia deteriorated as the season progressed. By the time the ladies took a group trip to Mexico, Mia and Jacqueline were on the outs, and they weren't even on speaking terms when Jacqueline appeared on the Season 7 reunion.
Fast-forward to Season 8, and Mia's status with Jacqueline hasn't changed. On Season 8, Episode 10, which aired on January 21, Mia got an update on Jacqueline from their mutual friend, Charrisse Jackson-Jordan. Find out what Charrisse revealed and learn where Mia and Jacqueline stand today by scrolling below.
What Charisse Jackson-Jordan Revealed About Jacqueline Blake
During Candiace Dillard Bassett's brunch to celebrate the moms (and their mothers) of the group, Mia chatted with friend of the ladies, Charrisse.
Charrisse shared that she had recently hosted an event in Potomac, and that she brought Mia's former best friend as a guest. "I saw Jacqueline the other day. I did," Charrisse said.
Mia then asked how Jacqueline has been doing, and Charrisse responded, "She's OK. Yeah, she cried."
"About what?" Mia asked.
"I was talking about you..." Charrisse continued, before mentioning that Season 8 newbie Nneka Ihim was also at the event. "She didn't speak very favorably of you about Nneka, which I would have never done to someone I don't know, [who] I'm meeting for the first time."
Where Jacqueline Blake and Mia Thornton Stand Today
In an interview on the episode, Mia revealed that, at the time, she hadn't been in contact with Jacqueline since the group trip to Mexico on Season 7 of RHOP.
"So it's been about a year since Jacqueline and I have spoken, since our debacle in Mexico," Mia explained, before mentioning that she wasn't ignoring her on purpose. "It's not intentional, I just haven't had the opportunity to, and we haven't, like, run into each other. I've had a lot going on this year, OK, like, give me a break!"
That said, though Mia and Jacqueline were not in the best place in their friendship during filming for RHOP Season 8, the two are now back on track.
During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen back in December 2023, Mia revealed that the two had been spending more time together following the RHOP cast member's split from Gordon Thornton.
"It's funny because Jacqueline and I talk all the time now," Mia told host Andy Cohen. "She's helped tremendously with the kids. We are [back]."
The two even had plans to spend time together with their respective families during the holidays.
"I talked to her yesterday. We're gonna do a concert and we're going ice skating together with the kids," she added at the time. "We're doing a lot of things."
Andy expressed that he was "so happy" to hear that Mia and Jacqueline were friends again, noting that the two were "too deep" in their relationship to never speak again.
"She's also the best friend of my new boo," Mia said, referencing her relationship with Atlanta-based radio host, Incognito.
