Mia Thornton Opens Up About Her Decision to Get Liposuction: "Stay Tuned!" (VIDEO)
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member teased a forthcoming "body transformation" from her recent cosmetic procedure.
Mia Thornton is making some changes.
On April 1, The Real Housewives of Potomac shared a video to her Instagram page to reveal she was getting liposuction at The Glow Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics. In addition to the video detailing her experience at the medspa, Mia also opened up about taking on the cosmetic procedure.

In the video, Mia walked into the medspa wearing a teal zip-up sweatshirt and black sweatpants. She showed the various details of where she was taking on the procedure and a medical professional making marks on her body to indicate where they would be doing liposuction.
"[The Glow Plastic Sugery] was super welcoming and knowledgeable on all things cosmetic surgery," Mia began in her caption, adding that all the medical professionals made her feel "comfortable and safe" with her experience. "Are you ready to see this body transformation? Stay tuned!" Mia teased, giving us a before look at her body ahead of surgery.

Mia also hopped on her Instagram Stories on April 2 to share more details about her surgery "post-op[eration]," three days after her initial appointment. "I feel great!" she shared, adding how she was wearing her "Faja," or a bodysuit shaper which "tuck[s] in" the areas on which she had liposuction.
"It's so important to wear the faja ladies, because [...] it helps with the compression and it helps to form your body," Mia said, showing off her midsection and adding, "the waist is doing what the waist needs to do."

In addition to her cosmetic changes, Mia is going through other big life changes at the moment.
During the RHOP Season 8 finale, viewers watched as Mia and her husband, Gordon Thornton, made the difficult decision to end their marriage. During the episode, Gordon accused Mia of having an affair with her high school sweetheart, Incognito, aka Inc., during their marriage.
Later, on the March 25 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Mia revealed she's in a relationship with the Atlanta-based radio host. She also shared during Part 1 of the RHOP reunion that she and Inc. were "high school sweethearts" and they "kept in touch here and there, but nothing serious." Mia also noted, "There was only one occasion that we did rekindle the flame." She was still with Gordon at that time.
