Did Meryl Streep "Diss" Lala Kent?

Lala Kent and Randall Emmett have been around plenty of movie stars, but their most entertaining story yet comes from a run-in they had with Meryl Streep. The Vanderpump Rules couple stopped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home on April 7, and totally spilled the tea on the time that the acting legend may have dissed Lala. 

“Were you freaking out when you saw that you were seated 10 feet away from Meryl Streep at the SAG Awards this year?” Andy Cohen asked Lala. 

Lala had a surprising reaction to the question, and seemed as though she was trying to avoid sharing some information for Randall’s sake. “I... I won’t do it to you,” she said. “Yes, I was freaking out. I’ve seen a lot of celebrities.” 

“Won’t do what?” asked Lisa Vanderpump, who was also called in to the After Show via video chat. 

“Just do it, tell her,” said Randall. 

“Randall went up to Meryl Streep and asked her for a picture, and she said, ‘Yes, I’ll be right back.’ He comes up to me and says, ‘She’ll be right back,’” explained Lala. “I said, ‘I play that game when I don’t want to take pictures. I say, ‘Yes, I’ll be right back.’ She doesn’t come back, and then all of a sudden, all over the internet, it’s like, ‘Lala sits next to Meryl Streep!’ I’m like, Randall, the picture will come, baby!” 

Randall then revealed that although he rarely fangirls, he was incredibly pumped to see Meryl Streep. Lala added, “I fangirl over Meryl Streep, too. I’ve seen a lot of celebrities. Meryl Streep was like, everything.” 

Then, Randall got super real. “Lala’s being very nice. Meryl... it was a straight diss. I was like, I’m a huge fan, I’m a producer of The Irishman... she was like, ‘I have to go see a friend, I’ll be right back.’ Right to De Niro, blew me off.”
