Melissa Gorga Sparkles in Head-Turning Sequin Dress: "Envy the Girl in Red"
The RHONJ cast member wore the stunning ensemble to a lavish birthday party in NYC.
Melissa Gorga isn’t resting on her fashion laurels.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom made countless headlines last year for her steady stream of stop-and-stare style moments. We’re talking everything from a metallic bodycon gown and a shimmery tank dress to sultry swimwear looks and sleek business attire.
The collection of outfits not only underscored Melissa’s passion for fashion, but proved she can pull off a wide range of stellar looks. This was further demonstrated over the weekend when the mother of three posted a series of ’fit pics before a fun-filled night in the Big Apple.
Melissa Gorga literally shines in a bright red party dress
The posts, which were shared on Sunday, January 21, showed Melissa inside her New Jersey mansion while rocking a bright red sequin gown by Bardot, an independent Australian brand founded by Carol Skoufis.
The long-sleeve garment, dubbed the “Verona,” featured a plunging scoop neckline, a midi-length skirt, an open back with a delicate tie strap, and a keyhole cutout at the bust. Melissa completed the ensemble with some small silver hoop earrings, a pair of clear pointed heels, a slicked-back low ponytail, and smokey glam by her go-to makeup artist Nikkii Kasak.
“Envy the girl in red,” she captioned the photo.
The Jersey ’Wife ended up wearing the sequin dress to a friend’s birthday party at The Pool, an upscale event space located inside Manhattan’s Seagram Building. Photos from the bash showed Melissa posing inside the venue along with fellow guests and her hubby, Joe Gorga. Followers also got a glimpse at the multi-tiered birthday cake, the gorgeous table settings, and a live performance by Busta Rhymes.
Melissa Gorga expands her fashion business
Melissa confirmed that the sequin maxi was available at her Jersey-based boutique, Envy by Melissa Gorga, along with a wide selection of red party dresses. She shared the posts just days after announcing Envy’s expansion into New York.
“Another One!! LONG ISLAND!! I’m coming for ya!!” she captioned a January 18 Instagram video teasing the new boutique location. “[Envy] is coming to Huntington Village this spring! I worked hard to be where I am and it was worth every second. I’m so grateful to everyone who has made my store a success.”
Melissa launched the first Envy store in late 2015 in Montclair, New Jersey, and opened a second location about six years later in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
“There is nothing like the feeling of being my own boss,” she continued. “I talk to myself all day long. I push myself all day long. It’s always a good time to push a little harder!”
