Jim Edmonds Reacts to Wife Meghan King Edmonds' Departure from The Real Housewives of Orange County
"This beautiful woman is charging through life on her own terms," he shared.
Shortly after Meghan King Edmonds shared the news that she will be stepping away from The Real Housewives of Orange County, her husband, Jim Edmonds shared his thoughts on the announcement on Instagram.
Jim showed nothing but support for Meghan's decision. "I am so PROUD of my wife," he gushed in the post. "This beautiful woman is charging through life on her own terms."
Jim made quite a splash when he joined the RHOC family with Meghan in Season 10. Fans witnessed the ups and downs of the couple's first year of marriage in Season 10, their journey to grow a family through IVF in Season 11, and life with their newest addition to the family, their baby daughter Aspen King Edmonds, in Season 12.
The RHOC hubby commented on his buzzy first season on the show at the Season 10 reunion. "Well, it's rough on TV for sure. But, you know, for me, when I'm flying back-and-forth from St. Louis to California, and I'm getting thrust into this situation, which I'm an athlete. I've been in a locker room with guys for 20 years, never seen anyone fight, argue, complain. They go out there and they do their job. And I was trying to explain to her one day, I don't want to be in the middle of this. If there's drama, just leave me with the guys off to the side, and I'll be good," he said. "And, you know, I got sucked in and wasn't happy about it because it's just not appropriate for everyone to be bickering just to bicker."
Meghan shared the news that she will be saying goodbye to RHOC on her blog on Tuesday, January 23. She cited the emotional and physical toll filming the series has taken on her as reasons for her exit, especially as she gets ready to welcome twin boys with Jim in June. Meghan said that she is hoping to spend more time with Jim, who is a former St. Louis Cardinals star and baseball commentator, during the baseball season, as well as her stepchildren, who live in St. Louis full time. "So Jimmy and I have decided to dig our roots into the midwest as we begin to build our dream home for our rapidly expanding family," she wrote in the blog post. "We also continue to focus on K Hall Studio (based in St Louis) and my line, The King Collection."
Andy Cohen also reacted to the news of Meghan's departure on Twitter Tuesday, saying that he is "gonna miss" his fellow St. Louis native.
