Toya Bush-Harris and Dr. Eugene Are Still Married to Medicine
Marriage is a lot of work, but this original couple on Married to Medicine shows how to navigate the ups and downs.
Married to Medicine is all about the wives and their connection to the medical world, whether it’s working as a doctor, or being married to one.
One Married to Medicine couple has stood the test of time throughout the ups and downs of the past 9 seasons. Toya Bush-Harris and Dr. Eugene Harris are one of the original couples on the show and there's a reason they're still around. Eugene is an emergency room doctor and he is also the co-founder of Nomad MD, a medical concierge service. Toya is a former pharmaceutical sales rep and created her company TBH Entertainment and has her own Boutique Wine Club. She is also working on a skincare line and of course, continues to help her husband with his company. But there's far more between them that makes their partnership so strong.
Here’s a look at their relationship.
How did Toya and Eugene Meet?
Toya met Eugene during a speed dating event in 2008. She was working on her master’s degree and working two jobs at the time. He was completing his medical residency, but that didn’t stop them from pursuing each other during a busy and hectic time in their lives.
They tied the knot on July 19, 2008 and celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary this year.
How many kids do Toya and Eugene have?
They have two boys Ashton and Avery. In Season 7 Toya revealed she had a miscarriage after being pregnant for 6 and a half weeks. She was very candid about her experience and about telling her two sons.
Toya and Eugene have been transparent about their mental health and stress, which isn’t easy in a marriage. Eugene wasn’t happy in his role at his job, and Toya was also upset about his long hours, but the pair are still together and showing that marriage is hard work even when Married to Medicine.
