Luke Gulbranson Says Carl Radke’s "Insecurities” Caused Their Fight
The Summer House newbie explained that he never even asked the trainer, Sarah, out on a date.

It was the fight we never saw coming — until this episode of Summer House. On "Boys' Night," Carl Radke and Luke Gulbranson nearly came to blows after Carl confronted Luke about asking his potential love interest, personal trainer Sarah, out on a rock-climbing date.
The tension started at dinner the weekend before, when Carl wanted Luke to acknowledge that Hannah Berner was seeing Armand. It then continued the following weekend in the car ride on the way to Boys' Night, when Carl warned Luke when he admitted he was uncertain if he was trying to date Hannah that they would "beat his ass" if he "screwed over" Hannah. Then at the batting cages, Carl started needling Luke, and eventually told him he knew he had asked Sarah out.
"If you think that I'm trying to smash her, you're insecure with yourself," Luke said on the episode. When that comment definitely triggered Carl, Luke added, "You know what, I'll go after her then and we'll talk." The episode ended with a "to be continued" message as the guys had to hold Carl back from Luke.
On The Daily Dish podcast, Luke talked about the explosive fight. He claimed he didn't ask Sarah out, and what caused the blow-up between the guys was "Carl's insecurities."
"That’s the truth. And I called him out on that, and that pissed him off even more. But that’s the reality. I didn't ask Sarah out. Sarah and I were talking about rock climbing and Carl took things the wrong way," Luke explained.
Not that Luke was totally innocent: "I had this thing where she always did a downward dog in Barry’s. And, I mean, she’s a good-looking girl. So I would tease Carl a little bit. I would do a downward dog every time when someone would bring up Sarah just to push his buttons and f--k with him a little bit. And we were at the batting cages, and I did a downward dog 'cause somebody mentioned her. I was like, oh yeah, I was like, Sarah, that’s right. So I did, like I was teasing, and he was like, are you f---king kidding me, bro?"
It sounds like we're going to have to see what happens on next week's episode, but Luke assured us: "Carl’s a great dude, man. I love him to death; he’s a great friend. That was just a really heated moment we had over the summer. "
