Lisa Hochstein Explains Her Family’s Complicated Relationship with Lenny Hochstein
Lisa Hochstein and her mom chatted about the latest in her divorce on the RHOM Season 6 finale. Get the details.
As Lisa Hochstein navigates her divorce from Dr. Lenny Hochstein on The Real Housewives of Miami Season 6, she's leaning on her friends and family.
In addition to getting support from friends Larsa Pippen and Adriana De Moura, Lisa is calling in reinforcements from her nearest and dearest family members, including her mom, Jean, and her aunt.
Lisa's relatives paid a visit to her Star Island home on the RHOM Season 6 finale, which aired on February 21. During the episode, Lisa opened up about her upbringing, and how her family never really meshed well with her estranged husband's. Find out what she revealed in the episode by scrolling below.

Before the RHOM ladies said farewell to Season 6 with Adriana's song release party, Lisa welcomed her mom and aunt to her home.
"I flew my mom and my aunt down to help watch the kids as Jody [Glidden] and I go on a much-needed vacation," Lisa explained in an interview on the episode.
Once her mom and aunt arrived, she told them that it can be "hard not having any family here" in Miami, especially since she's gone through a "really hard year."
Lisa shared that her mom and aunt live in Toronto, which is where she is from. "My mom grew up very poor in a place in Jamaica called Seaford Town, and then they eventually all moved to Canada," she shared.

As Lisa went on to explain on the episode, she would visit her mom in Toronto, or her mom would come to Miami about three times a year. However, the visits became strained at one point because her mom "just got increasingly uncomfortable coming because of Lenny's attitude."
"You certainly deserve better than what you have right now," Lisa's mom said. "And your husband, I'm telling you."
"You never liked the way he treated me," Lisa said to her mom, who responded, "No."
"He never engages with any of my family," Lisa said.
"If I'm talking to him, he would just walk away," Jean continued. "So, guess what? I text[ed] him. I text[ed] him and [told] him how I feel. He never replied to my text. He never [sat] still to listen to me."
In an interview, Lisa said that her family's relationship with Lenny's relatives has been frayed for quite some time.
"At our wedding, I remember [Lenny's mom,] Marina, telling my family to address her as Mrs. Hochstein and Anatole as Professor Hochstein," she said. "If you didn't have a certain level of wealth in their eyes, they looked down on you. "
