Guerdy Abraira Reveals She *Almost* Planned Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke's Wedding
The Real Housewives of Miami cast member opened up about the role she nearly had in the Summer House wedding.
This season of Summer House captures the dissolution of Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke's engagement, but now we're learning more about their almost wedding.
The cast members confirmed in September 2023 that they were breaking up two months ahead of their November 2023 wedding, and ending things for good. But, as seen on this season Summer House, the former couple was in the thick of planning their wedding. They had their wedding party, flower boys, and outfits already picked out.
They even almost recruited The Real Housewives of Miami cast member and ultimate party planner, Guerdy Abraira, to plan their wedding. The Guerdy Design party planner opened up about this during an April 18 appearance on The Viall Files podcast.

Guerdy said that the couple had DM'ed her, inquiring about her planning their wedding, but didn't decide to go with her services.
"Thank God I didn't do Lindsay and Carl's wedding," she said during the podcast episode. "Can you imagine, I would have been pissed that the week before the wedding — or whenever that split happened — I would have done all that fabulosity and didn't get to Guerd-ify the world," the mom of two said, shaking her head. "Pissed."

Guerdy has been in a relationship with her husband, Russell Abraira, since high school and married to him for more than 20 years, She has planned a lot of weddings during her career, so she knows a thing or two about being in love. After all, weddings are her specialty.
She offered her take on Carl and Lindsay's relationship on the podcast. "I didn't see a match there," she said. "I honestly did not see them down the aisle, personally....I didn't see a future with them."
Why did Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard call off their wedding?
Viewers will get to continue to see what caused Carl and Lindsay to call off their wedding during Summer House Season 8. But, Carl offered some explanation for why things ended so close to their wedding date during a March 14 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"I think a wedding is to celebrate your relationship, and there were foundational things that were not stable to move forward with a lifetime of marriage," Carl said. "I mean, I believe in having a stable relationship before you celebrate a wedding, and we were not in that position, I believe, to move forward with the wedding."
Lindsay, on the other hand, revealed that Carl had "not been helpful" in the wedding planning process, but was adamant about getting married because she "truly believed relationships take work."
But, in the end, she revealed during a March 8 appearance on WWHL that she "absolutely was blindsided" by the break up, which happened two weeks after her bridal shower. "I think there was a bigger part of me that was maybe settling for a bigger picture as opposed to the long term partnership," she said.
