Lindsay Hubbard reflects on her split from Carl Radke

“I was completely blindsided,” she told Us Weekly in a recent interview. “He blew up my entire life. I was crying, I was angry, and I had to find closure on my own. Now I’m at a place where I feel really good about moving on.”

She added that she has no "regrets" about the relationship but admitted to the publication that breaking up with someone who was also her friend has been difficult. "That’s the hardest part of it all," she said. "And even now, if I have feelings that pop up in my mind or heart, it’s more that I lost my best friend than my fiancé."

Lindsay Hubbard speaks on connecting with her friends after the breakup

Since the split, Lindsay has been spending time with her female friends, including taking a girls' trip on what would have been her bachelorette party weekend. She's also reconnected with Danielle Olivera following some tension between them in the wake of her engagement to Carl.

"She really has been so incredible in this entire process," she said, adding that she's "had a great time rebuilding my friendships with different girls in the house... It became a story about sisterhood."

Danielle recently spoke to The Daily Dish about what it's been like to repair her friendship with Lindsay. "The girls are rallying around her," Danielle told BravoTV.com late in October. "It's a really great thing. And again: it's sh-tty. It's really, really sh-tty and no one wanted this, but at the same time, we're here for our girl. I'm glad that we're in this place that we are so that I can be here for her."

Lindsay shared that while this relationship didn't work out, she's open to love, still. "Yes. I will never give up on love. I have a very big heart; I’m not going to shut myself off from somebody else who would appreciate it. [And] in the last month, all I could think was thank God I froze my eggs," she said, adding that she's looking for "somebody ambitious, emotionally intelligent, who makes me laugh, can be intimate with me and lets me be me. I have a lot of friends looking to set me up [and] there’s definitely been some people sliding into my DMs. I’m excited for this new chapter. I think it’s gonna be really good."

Lindsay is going to use her wedding date in November to literally write her next chapter, telling the publication: "I’m gonna start writing my book. It’ll be a mixture of career, dating and family [anecdotes]. I’ve got a lot of stories to tell."
