Just weeks after confirming her split with Carl Radke, the Summer House cast member shared an encouraging look at her reentry into singlehood. Lindsay posted a handful of Instagram photos that documented her trip to Portugal, where she attended the wedding of her good friends Jaclyn Shuman Hunka and Tomasz Hunka.

As indicated in the caption, the event took place in mid-September, shortly after Lindsay and Carl called it quits. Although Lindsay could’ve easily skipped the event to process her highly publicized breakup, she decided to pack her bags and travel thousands of miles to support her close friend.

Lindsay Hubbard's Portugal Getaway

“A month ago, one of my besties got married in Portugal,” Linsday wrote in the October 6 post. “It was a wild time in my life, but we’ve been through so much together and I couldn’t miss it. I’m so glad I could be there to celebrate your true love.”

Lindsay appeared to be in good spirits throughout her time in Lisbon, where she caught up with friends, squeezed in some sightseeing, and delivered incredible fashion moments.

Lindsay and Carl got engaged in the summer of 2022, and were expected to tie the knot next month in Mexico. Reports of their split began circulating in early September; however, Lindsay didn’t address the whispers until September 14.

“I would like to start by saying thank you for allowing me the space and time to process my emotions, heal, and grieve the loss of not only my relationship, but my friendship with someone I considered my best friend for 8 years,” she wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “The last 2 weeks have been the most heartbreaking and emotional weeks of my life. My entire life and future was ripped out from underneath me and I’ve had a hard time making sense of it all – with no answers or closure on why.”

She continued: “I feel humiliated by how it went down, and simultaneously heartbroken that it happened in the first place. My trust has been betrayed, and coming to terms with that has been difficult for me.. I have spent the last couple of weeks finding my own closure and peace. I am forever grateful to my best friends who have not left my side, and have been picking up the pieces of my heart and life every day from the fallout.”

Lindsay Hubbard's Fun-Filled Girls Trip

About a week after the announcement, Lindsay headed off to the Bahamas with some of her closest friends, including Summer House castmates Danielle OliveraSam Feher, and Gabby Prescod. Lindsay reflected on the getaway in a September 26 Instagram post that highlighted her gorgeous dinner dress and some of the synchronicities she noted during the trip.

“Sometimes the universe has its way with you, and you just have to go with it,” she wrote in the caption. “1) My room number was 1117 (the date of my wedding) 2) A bird shit on me the first day (this is supposed to be good luck but i dunno…) 3) Out of 15 girls, I was the first to bed each night (which I later found out was because of that-time-of-the-month fatigue).”
