Kyle Makes a Surprising Declaration on Her Relationship Status & Future with Mauricio
Speaking about the state of her separation, Kyle Richards admitted, "We're still figuring things out."
Kyle Richards has been separated from Mauricio Umansky for more than a year, but she still doesn't know what the future will hold for their marriage.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member opened up about how she's "figuring out what's next" with The Agency CEO during a recent chat with Us Weekly.
"I don't know what the future holds right now with Mauricio and me. We love each other. So that part is easy. What’s not easy is figuring out what’s next," Kyle explained.
At the moment, the two, who do not have a prenuptial agreement, are still separated and living apart.
"We’re not divorced; he doesn’t live here, but we’re still figuring things out," she added. "On the show, people felt they were owed answers and thought I was withholding stuff — but I’m figuring it out myself."
Regardless, when asked if she considers herself to be single now that she's separated, Kyle had a surprising answer: "No, I don’t think of myself like that."
Where do Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky live?
Though Kyle and Mauricio continued to live together in their Encino home in the early months of their separation, the real estate agent moved out in May 2024. Mauricio now lives in a condo in West Hollywood, while Kyle has remained in the Encino house with her two youngest daughters, Sophia and Portia Umansky, and her six dogs.
"I knew the day was coming, but when it happens, it’s like, 'Oh, my God, this is real,'" Kyle said about how Mauricio's move made their separation feel even more real. "I was so emotional after he and Alexia [Umansky] both moved out. When you're a married mom of four, the house is chaotic. So it felt so different. Thank God I still have two daughters at home."
Will Kyle Richards and Mauricio's split play out on RHOBH Season 14?
Yes, and Kyle said that viewers will still see her interacting with Mauricio on RHOBH Season 14. "Mau shot with me quite a bit. He’ll come over for dinner and it’s like nothing has changed, yet everything has changed," she explained. "The best way I can put it is that we’re family. It’s easy for us to get along because we never fought. That was not an issue in our marriage; there’s so much love there."
