Kyle Richards and the RHOBH Cast Discuss Her Bond with Morgan Wade

Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's ongoing marital problems have been a big topic of conversation on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, but that's not the only part of her life that has her castmates and viewers alike talking. Instead, there's also lots of speculation around Kyle's friendship with country singer Morgan Wade.
Kyle, for her part, has publicly clarified that she and Morgan are just friends on several occasions, but several of her fellow RHOBH cast members — namely, Dorit Kemsley, Garcelle Beauvais, and Sutton Stracke — continue to have questions, especially considering Kyle recently asked for their thoughts on "dat[ing] a woman."

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Dorit expressed her belief that Kyle asking the other ladies if they'd ever date another woman "definitely came out of left field." Kyle, however, said she had a purpose for posing the question.
"You know what? [There were] two reasons I said that: A. for shock value and B. because I'm at a place in my life where I'm just, like, I don't know. I have zero judgment," Kyle explained. "[Did] you think I would ever get a tattoo before? So, I was like, who am I to say? I don't know. I'm not judging anything."
In short, Kyle is "just a lot more open-minded about a lot of things across the board," as she put it. And even her daughters have noticed: "My girls [said] to me, 'Mom I can't believe you got tattoos. I love this new enlightened, open-minded version of you.'"
Erika Jayne, for her part, voiced her support for the "new" version of Kyle. "Whatever you need to do or however, whatever this is this time in your life that makes you happy — whether it's dating women or not dating women — that's you," she told her on the RHOBH After Show. "And you need to feel good about what you're doing. And whether you stay with Mauricio or don't stay with Mauricio, whatever you guys work out, it's really between the two of you. You deserve to make yourself happy. You've been through enough. Just live your life. It's fine."

Why Kyle Was "Drawn" to Morgan
As Kyle explained of Morgan on RHOBH Season 13, Episode 11, "Initially, I was drawn to Morgan by her music. Morgan's lyrics really spoke to me because she was just so raw and open and honest and just putting it all out there. And I admire that in someone, especially someone who has struggled with that myself. I appreciate that quality in someone."
Kyle and Morgan's Friendship Status
On the same episode of RHOBH and in recent interviews, Kyle has stated that she and Morgan are extremely close. "There are people that I speak to every single day no matter what. Teddi [Mellencamp] and Morgan are two of those people," Kyle said on RHOBH. "Everything in our life is discussed — friends, husbands, siblings, work, complaints, celebrations, everything."

During a recent chat with Us Weekly, Kyle revealed whether she's gotten "sick" of hearing all of the speculation surrounding her bond with Morgan. Her response? "I don’t even think about it anymore. It doesn’t faze me."
