There are a lot of things that Summer House cast member Kyle Cooke loves. He loves his wife, Amanda Batula, and their dogs. He loves a theme party. And he really loves his mullet. We do, too, which is why we created merch to honor the entrepreneur's signature style. We would also love to have something tangible to remember the mullet by if the Loverboy founder decides to chop it anytime soon, which he recently shared plans of on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. More on that, below.
Kyle and his mullet are basically one and the same, so you may be surprised to learn that the Bravoleb only began growing his flow in earnest in early 2022. After years of using parties as an excuse to sport a mullet wig, fans have seen Kyle rock his retro-chic look on Summer House Seasons 7 and 8, on Winter House Season 3, and even at BravoCon 2023.
In an October 2023 episode of WWHL, he divulged to host Andy Cohen that he was planning to continue growing his business in the front, party in the back situation — possibly even until it was long enough to donate. Kyle once told The Daily Dish that he'd keep the look until Amanda "makes [him] chop it off," so it seemed like the love story between him and his and mullet would continue forever. Behold, merch to memorialize it:
Kyle Cooke's mullet on Bravo merch
By an April 2024 appearance on WWHL, which you can watch below, Kyle seemed to be open to the idea that the statement-making haircut might have an official expiration date. When Andy asked "Would you consider cutting your hair at the reunion?" Kyle had an answer that surprised, well, everyone.
"Well, you tell me, Andy," Kyle asked, "Do you have a sharp pair of scissors?"
"Yes," replied the host immediately, adding "Can we do this?"
"We're going to do it," Kyle confirmed, earning a round of applause from the audience and a relieved high five from Andy.
The entrepreneur then added a heartfelt anecdote about potentially losing the look: His grandmother recently passed away, and one of the last conversations they had was about her disliking his hairstyle. So if he lets Andy (or a professional — this part wasn't made official) tone down his look during the reunion, it will be at least partially to honor his "Mooey."
When Kyle decides to end his mullet era, catch us playing "I Will Remember You" while wearing Summer House merch and watching a montage of the best mullet moments.
Summer House airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo and streams the next day on Peacock.
