Kenya Moore Weighs In on Wendy Williams
The 'RHOA' star shares her opinion of the talk show host.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta drama isn't just reserved for the series.
And with NeNe Leakes and talk show host Wendy Williams engaged in an ongoing beef throughout most of 2014, it's no surprise that Kenya Moore has her own take on Williams' hoenst opinions of the show and its stars.
"I think she's honest, and unfortunately that can come across as harsh," Moore told BET.
Wendy and NeNe's beef started earlier this year when she had criticism for NeNe after the RHOA reunion aired in May. Wendy even stated that ìNeNe "needs to go."
It escalated over the summer. Wendy then dissed NeNe's graffiti'd Birkin bag on an episode of her talk show. From there the women went back in forth throwing shade at one another, with Wendy even comparing NeNe (who has appeared on her talk show in the past) to other celebrities including Kimye.
But Kenya has her own take on the drama. "She has a job to do, and she gets paid to do it," she said, noting that she's even been criticized by Wendy in the past. "I've always had a great relationship with her. I understand her. I'm very opinionated as well, very strong as well. And they don't affect me, those words don't affect me the way they do other people."
Back in August, NeNe responded to the beef (weeks after writing an open letter to the host), shedding some light on what she thinks of the whole thing.
"Whether Kim and Kanye have way more money than me or not, I'm out here getting money," she said. "So you should at least give me props. Girl, you know I ain't been out of a job. I have worked my ass off out here. I wouldn't have even cared if she criticized my bag. But she tried to lower the cost of my damn bag and then she tried to act like I'm not out here working everyday getting money. Girl, bye. I'm so done with you right now. I know why you're doing this and you know why you're doing it too. You just another one of these haters, just hate to see another sister come up. Women need to support women more often, we really do."
"If you are out here doing something big, I will never put you down," she added. "Just don't try to take nothing from me. You don't have to like me but don't take nothing from me. Now though, thinking about it, I wish I hadn't responded."
