Katie Maloney Has the Best Response to Andy Cohen’s Question About Raquel Leviss
The Vanderpump Rules cast member threw some shade at Raquel, who was recently confirmed to have made out with Katie’s ex, Tom Schwartz.
It’s no secret that Vanderpump Rules’ Katie Maloney and Raquel Leviss aren’t the best of friends at the moment, but where exactly do they stand today? Andy Cohen asked Katie this very question during Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday, February 15, and her answer made things very clear.
As Katie put it, “We stand as far away from each other as possible.”
The update comes after the castmates engaged in an online back-and-forth sparked by Raquel wearing a Tom Tom shirt at BravoCon 2022 and Katie subsequently labeling her a “fan girl.” Adding to the tension is the ongoing drama with Katie’s ex-husband, Tom Schwartz, who kissed Raquel and therefore broke the post-divorce pact he and Katie made about not getting involved with anyone in their shared friend circle.
On WWHL, Andy went on to point out that, for a while, it seemed as though Tom and Katie had been “successfully navigating a friendly separation.” So was it the Raquel drama that changed that?
“It had a massive impact,” Katie confirmed. “I think there was a lot of outside influence and opinions that were coming into the picture when we were doing just fine.”
As for Raquel, she recently echoed Katie’s sentiment about where they stand, telling Us Weekly that they’re “not in the best place.”
What’s more, the two apparently encountered each other not that long ago. Raquel broke down the awkward moment, explaining, “I ran into her on Sunday and I figured I would be, like, the bigger person and at least break the ice and go over there and say hi. And it was like a ‘death glare’ straight through my soul.”
“So I was like, ‘OK, I feel like I just need to, like, back off and give you some space,’” Raquel added. “Clearly, I really hurt her and that wasn’t my intention at all.”
Tom made a similar comment during his own WWHL appearance on February 8. Andy asked if he had any regrets about making out with Raquel and he responded, “I’m gonna go on the record — no regrets. Although I regret I hurt Katie’s feelings.”
