Kathy Hilton Speaks Out About Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s Separation
RHOBH's Kathy Hilton also shared if she believes Kyle and Mauricio will get back together.
Kyle Richards confirmed on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in October that she and her husband Mauricio Umansky are currently separated, and now, as the former couple's marital issues continue to play out on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13, one of her family members is breaking their silence on the matter: Kathy Hilton.
The RHOBH sister did so on the November 27 episode of Today with Hoda & Jenna, in which she appeared on with her daughter and Kyle's niece, Paris Hilton.

Kathy Hilton's Reaction to Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky's Split
The topic of Kyle and Mauricio came up when Jenna Bush Hager inquired about the “tricky time" the exes have been going through.
“When I first saw it, I was just like, it just broke my heart,” Kathy said of the separation news before praising her sister's strength. "Kyle, believe it or not, she's the youngest but she's the strongest [and] she's bossiest ... She's very strong. She's resilient."
Kathy also showed her support for her nieces, Farrah Brittany (who Kyle shares with ex-husband Guraish Aldjufrie), Alexia, Sophia, and Portia (who she Kyle shares with Mauricio). "I love my nieces," she said. "I just want [Kyle] to be happy."
Finally, Kathy was asked if she thinks that Kyle and Mauricio will get back together — especially considering that they spent Thanksgiving with one another. Her response? "There's no way that Kyle would've gone this far unless she really thought about it."

Speaking of Thanksgiving, the former couple did indeed spend the holiday together. This was confirmed on November 23 when Mauricio posted an Instagram Story that showed him and Kyle preparing a holiday meal at their Encino, California, estate.
The pair was joined by several relatives, including Kyle’s niece Whitney Davis (daughter of RHOBH alum Kim Richards) and her husband, Luke Graham White.
What It Means for Kyle and Mauricio to Be "Separated"
Shortly before the Thanksgiving holiday, Mauricio appeared on the Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast. There, he explained why he and Kyle have been specific in stating that they're "separated."
"We’re humans, and it doesn’t change on a daily basis. If we're separated that means we're giving each other time to allow things to happen," he said, later adding, "Everyone wants to know what’s going on with my marriage — like, I do too, you know, we’re normal people. We’re normal human beings going through a struggle, we’re going through issues like everybody else does."
Kyle also set the record straight on her and Mauricio's separation at BravoCon 2023.
More specifically, on BravoCon Live, Kyle explained that she previously "misspoke" on the BravoCon 2023 carpet. "Two times, I had to correct someone when they said 'divorce,' I said, 'separated,'" Kyle said. "And then I went and said it, and then it went everywhere, so that was my bad. We're still amicable."
At BravoCon 2023, Kyle also shared an update on her relationship with Kathy.

During the "Livin’ in Beverly Hills" panel discussion on Day 3 of BravoCon, moderator Zuri Hall asked Kyle how her relationship with Kathy is following their falling out from RHOBH Season 12. “We’re great, thank God," she said. "You know we’re really good. We talk every day."
Kyle revealed that she and Kathy even attended a Morgan Wade concert last month in Los Angeles along with her daughters, Alexia and Sophia.
As for Kim, Kyle noted that both she and Kathy "have been very, very supportive" amid her separation from Mauricio. "It's rare to get everybody good at the same time," she jokingly added. "So, I'm just enjoying this moment."
