Kandi Burruss Slams "False Advertisement" Reportedly Claiming She Used Diet Pills
The #RHOA mom defends her natural post-baby weight loss.
Kandi Burruss hasn't been shy about showing off her banging body after giving birth to son Ace Wells Tucker in January, which we're all for. The Real Housewives of Atlanta hitmaker previously told The Daily Dish that she chalks up her post-baby weight loss to a combination of "strictly breastfeeding for a month-and-a-half" and giving up sugary foods like sweets, desserts, sodas, and juice throughout January (clip above).
However, it seems that some people just don't want to believe Kandi lost the baby weight the good-old-fashioned way. Kandi said she has heard from "a few people" that her name is reportedly being used in an advertisement for diet pills, and she took to Instagram Tuesday to set the record straight. "I have not used any diet pill to lose weight after my pregnancy," Kandi wrote. "I'm still breastfeeding. I supplement with formula but I still breastfeed & there is no way I would take some Weightloss drug when it could affect my child."
Some Instagram commenters said they had also seen the ads on Facebook. Kandi went on to say that she is speaking out because she doesn't want other breastfeeding moms to be encouraged to take weight-loss pills. "I'm only addressing this because I don't want any other #breastfeeding mom to try it thinking it's ok because they think I did it," she wrote. "Just to be clear if I try any Weightloss stuff in the future I will post it for you. If you don't see it come from me then don't believe the hype!"
Before baby Ace came into Kandi and husband Todd Tucker's life, they had a lot to do to prepare for their new arrival. Watch Kandi explain how they got ready to bring home baby, below.
