Joe Gorga Has a Surprising New Title and It’s “Official” (VIDEO)
You may now call The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad “Father Joe.” Here’s why.
Joe Gorga just added a surprising new skill to his résumé. In a recent Instagram post, The Real Housewives of New Jersey dad showed off some shiny new credentials. He also revealed why the world may now refer to him as “Father Joe.”
The New Jersey native has always been a man of many talents. Not only is Joe skilled in construction, but he can also cook. Plus, he knows how to take a joke. For the past few years, the dad of three has been pursuing a side hustle in comedy.
After piloting his stand-up career alongside comedians Tammy Pescatelli and Mike Marino in 2019, the construction pro is back at it. In August, Joe shared that he has another comedy show in the works, and it’s scheduled to take place this fall.
“I’m Back!” Joe shared in his late-summer Instagram post. “See you October 14th in Princeton, New Jersey!! Gonna be a fun night with [Mike Marino]!” But all jokes aside, Joe now has a new skill that will prove to be particularly handy at weddings.
Joe Gorga is now ordained
In a Sept. 13 Instagram video, Joe shared his big news. With a group of family members gathered behind him, the newly minted comedy pro announced, “I’m official.” He held up a certificate that was stamped with a gold seal and had “Credentials of Ministry” written across the top. Joe added, “Call me Father Joe. Next Saturday, I’ll be marrying [a couple].”
In his caption, “Father Joe” wrote, “I’m so honored to be officiating the marriage of my cousins this week.” He also hinted that he may share a video of his officiating stint. “Can’t wait for you all to see it,” Joe’s post continued. “Stay tuned. This gold seal makes it official!”

On Sept. 25 Joe posted an inside look at the nuptials that he officiated over, writing alongside the sweet video on Instagram, "It was an honor officiating this wedding. It was an incredible weekend."
So how did he do? Well, according to Melissa, "You did amazing."

Speaking of marriages, Joe and his wife, Melissa Gorga, just celebrated their 19th anniversary. On August 20, Joe took to Instagram to post a sweet message for his wife of nearly two decades.
“Happy anniversary to the most amazing woman who has brought 19 years of pure joy and love into my life,” Joe captioned the post. The Instagram tribute featured two photos and a video of Melissa from a recent summer trip to Italy.
“You are my everything, and I am forever grateful for the beautiful memories we’ve created together,” Joe’s post continued. “Here’s to many more years of laughter, adventures, and a love that continues to grow stronger each day.”
Melissa also left a message for Joe in her own Instagram feed: “[Nineteen] years with you and counting….. Happy Anniversary [Joe Gorga]. Thank [you] for always holding it down and keeping your promises.”
