Joe Sheds New Light on Ellie and Bri's Post-Season 9 Drama: “Didn’t Like That...”
In spite of the drama, Elena "Ellie" Dubaich revealed a positive update on where she stands with Bri Muller today.
Below Deck Mediterranean Season 9 may have ended on Sept. 23, but the drama between Bri Muller and Elena "Ellie" Dubaich sure didn't.
Joe Bradley revealed as much on the subsequent episode of the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show while recounting his post-filming meetup with Ellie.
"When we did meet up with each other in Florida, she was badmouthing Bri like she was a rat, like she was nothing on earth, and I didn't like that," Joe shared. "She's just not happy that I'm friends with Bri."
As it turned out, Ellie blocked Bri on Instagram — and Joe, for that matter. The deckhand made the discovery that he'd been banned from her social media profile while visiting Bri in Los Angeles following his Florida trip.
Ellie had an explanation for this, though. According to the model, Joe had just stayed at her house, brought her flowers, wrote a card, and was a generally great guest ... except for the fact that he apparently wouldn't let her post anything on Instagram that would tell people he'd been there.
Recalled Ellie, "Mind you, he told me he could never post a picture with me because people talk, never let me post the flowers he bought me because he didn't want people to talk. Next thing I know, he's in LA with Bri posting 15 stories with Bri, rubbing it in my face. I'm sorry, you stayed at my place, and you don't even have the respect to post one picture with me to say 'thank you,' but you go to LA and post all these stories with Bri right to my face? I blocked him after that."
Thankfully, matters have recently improved between Ellie and Joe, and Ellie and Bri.
Are Ellie Dubaich and Joe Bradley on good terms after Season 9?
Ellie told The Daily Dish in a September interview, "[My] friendship [with Joe] hit a bit of a roadblock in the meanwhile, but he’s reached out and offered a heartfelt apology for being immature and not realizing how his behavior was affecting others which was big of him."
"I’ve accepted it and I’m happy to move forward as a friend," Ellie added. "I have no animosity towards him."
Where do Ellie Dubaich and Bri Muller stand today?
According to Ellie, she reached out and apologized to Bri "around episode 2 or 3" of Below Deck Med Season 9. "Many mistakenly assumed my apology was made only after I received public backlash and that was simply not the case," she continued in her exclusive interview with The Daily Dish. "Watching it back I realized that Joe actually was leading her on and it hadn’t been her throwing herself at him as to compete with me. If I had known that, I would have not reacted the way I did."
"My experience with Bri turned unnecessarily negative in the beginning because my feelings got hurt. Getting emotional about things was something I needed to learn how to regulate better," Ellie continued. "I’ve learned to always take ownership of how I feel and focus on my actions matching who I am rather than reacting."
Today, "Bri and I are open to catching up when she’s back in town and mending fences," Ellie noted.
What's more, "I genuinely don’t even recognize the person I was last year when this was filmed," Ellie added. "This has been such an intense experience of personal growth and character strengthening. Although there were many negatives on my part this season that I do regret, I still appreciate them for making me better."
