Aesha and Ellie’s relationship in Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean is in rough waters.

The Season 9 crew might be on the verge of being one of the few Below Deck Mediterranean crews where no one gets fired or quits. But there are still some work dramas that might get in the way before the season finale.

How to Watch

Watch Below Deck Mediterranean on Mondays at 9/8c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo app

In the above preview for Season 9, Episode 17, which airs on Sept. 23, Nathan Gallagher decided to chat with Aesha Scott on the way back from a crew night out and let her know what Elena “Ellie” Dubaich was saying about her behind her back.

Nathan told the chief stew that Ellie felt as though her work on the charters has gone unnoticed now that Carrie O’Neil has joined the team. Aesha was upset to hear the news, feeling that Ellie should have gone to her instead of the rest of the crew.

“It’s very juvenile to bitch to the boat about how I’ve been treating her so poorly,” Aesha reacted in a confessional interview.

Aesha also claimed that Ellie talking about how she feels with the rest of the team shows that she’s not fit for more of a leadership role right now.

“If she wants to be a chief stew she has got a lot of growing to do," Aesha said.

What happened with Aesha Scott and Elena "Ellie" Dubaich?

The two have been butting heads for a while, especially over Carrie's appearance on the boat. In the Below Deck Mediterranean After Show, it was clear that they didn’t meet in the middle about the new hire.

While Ellie argues that she did “respect” her boss’ direction, Aesha claimed that there were several moments where she felt the second stew was “overstepping” her authority by telling Carrie and Bri Muller what to do. Aesha also noted in past episodes she didn't think Ellie was doing her job, and was instead prioritizing hanging out with the crew instead.

Ellie disagreed, however.

“I feel like I have to check out a little bit because I don’t like how I am being treated. I fully understand that Aesha wants the highest yacht standards but the way she is going about it — she is achieving the opposite effect," she said in an episode confessional.

Bri Muller reaches her limit with Joe Bradley’s flirting

The Episode 17 preview also shows how Bri Muller and Joe Bradley’s relationship is heading in a tense direction.

A split of Bri Muller and Joe Bradley.

Sitting right next to Joe and Carrie, who were flirting with each other, on the ride back to the boat proved to be an annoyance to Bri, who previously hooked up with Joe amid a love triangle with Ellie.

“It’s not a problem that they’re flirting, it’s just a problem that they’re doing it in front of me,” she vented in her confessional.

This encounter came after she already met with Joe and got his reassurance that he would never put her in a situation that would make her "feel dumb" again.

By the end of the van ride, Bri was fuming over Joe and Carrie’s actions and didn’t hold back  while expressing her anger.

“Joe, f---k off,” was one of the phrases she yelled as she excited the van.
