Looks Like Captain Isn't João Franco's Only Job These Days
Is there anything the Below Deck Mediterranean bosun can't do?!
João Franco had some major future plans before Season 4 of Below Deck Mediterranean was even over. As the bosun said his goodbyes to the crew and Captain Sandy Yawn, he revealed that he had been hired for his first job as a captain after the charter season ended (clip above).
But that's not all João has been up to. If you've been following the yachtie on Instagram, you know that he's filled up his resume with a couple of other jobs recently.
João announced that he has been working with the tank and bilge cleaning services company EMVAC USA over the past few months. "We do all the dirty work #belowdeck so you don’t have to- pun intended. As a hard worker and a Captain, I noticed that there was a niche in the market for professionalism in this department and decided to look into offering exactly that!" João said in a post on Instagram on November 9. "This is for all the yachties out there in South Florida!"
He also just took an advanced firefighting course. João's fellow yachtie and former firefighter Bobby Giancola said that he was "so proud" in the comments to the post.
Hard work has never looked better, as you can see in these pics of João on the job in Florida.
João said that he's loving that captain life when he appeared at BravoCon last month. "I'm loving it. It's more difficult than when you get into that position... and it's [about] managing people," he shared. "A lot of people are older than you or younger, and you have to try to work on how to deal with people culturally."
We have a feeling this is only the start of big things for João, and we can't wait to see what he does next!
