Joanna Krupa Comments On Settling Her Lawsuit with Brandi Glanville
The #RHOM model also shares if she thinks she can ever be friends with the #RHOBH pal in the future.
Following the news that Joanna Krupa and Brandi Glanville have settled a lawsuit stemming from comments The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum made about The Real Housewives of Miami pal several years back, the model/TV host is commenting on the events.
Joanna was caught at the airport, where a photographer asked her how she feels about the way things ended. "I can't talk about the settlement, but as I already made a quote I'm very pleased and I hope it just inspires other people to think before they speak. And for others to stand up for themselves if somebody spreads lies about them," she told TMZ. As for if she and Brandi could ever be friends in the future, she said, "No comment. No comment, honey."
Brandi and Joanna settled a lawsuit last week which stemmed from a 2013 Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen appearance in which Brandi alleged that Joanna had an affair with Mohamed Hadid while he was still married to Yolanda Hadid, adding that he said that Joanna had a certain female body odor issue. TMZ reports that both sides have reached a "full and final settlement" and Joanna is withdrawing her defamation suit against Brandi.
While terms of the settlement are confidential, Brandi reportedly did have to issue a public apology as part of the settlement. "I want to apologize to Joanna Krupa for the statements I have made about her. I regret ever making such statements about Joanna Krupa; I also certainly never intended my statements to be taken so seriously and out of proportion," Brandi said in a statement to TMZ. "I apologize as I never wanted my statements to affect Joanna Krupa's reputation and I wish her nothing but continued success in life."
Joanna later denied Brandi's allegations during the RHOM Season 3 reunion and filed a lawsuit against Brandi for slander seeking damages, PEOPLE reported in January 2015.
