Jim Edmonds Confirms New Relationship with Kortnie O'Connor
Meghan King Edmonds previously made some bold statements about her ex's rumored girlfriend.
Nearly six months after he filed for divorce from wife Meghan King Edmonds, Jim Edmonds has gone public with his new girlfriend.
The Real Housewives of Orange County alum posted photos of himself and the new lady in his life, Kortnie O'Connor, in his Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 15. The snaps show Jim in the gym of his St. Louis home with Kortnie, who works in real estate, according to her Instagram bio. Jim and Kortnie, who he calls his "quarantined workout partner," pump some iron and get in some selfies in the pics.
Jim's rep, Steve Honig, confirmed the relationship to Page Six. “Jim and Kortnie are in a relationship," he said. "They have been quarantined together for the past few weeks and, like everyone else, are trying to stay safe and healthy.”
Jim found himself in the hospital in late March after experiencing symptoms associated with coronavirus (COVID-19). He later confirmed that he had tested positive for the infection. "I am completely symptom-free now and doing really well," Jim shared in his Instagram Story on April 1.
This is the first relationship Jim has gone public with since filing for divorce from Meghan in October 2019, one day after their fifth wedding anniversary. Meghan previously claimed Jim had started dating someone new during an episode of her Intimate Knowledge podcast in January. The RHOC alum alleged that the woman Jim was now seeing was not only a friend of hers but also someone the former couple had had a threesome with early on in their marriage.
Jim responded to Meghan's claims in a statement to PEOPLE, alleging that "there were more than a few" threesomes "initiated by Meghan and only Meghan" and that "she carried on with a few of these women without me being present."
Meghan then addressed Jim's comments in her own statement to PEOPLE.
“I never initiated anything, I went along with things because I thought that’s what he wanted. I wanted to feel as comfortable as possible. We only had one threesome and only once during our marriage and that was with his current girlfriend. I never carried on with any woman outside of these consensual acts described above,” she said. “I think his attempt to sex shame me illustrates the vile mind of this man. I am the mother of his children and to attempt to exploit deeply personal decisions we made as a couple is his attempt to damage the mother of his children and also attempts to demean me in the most vulnerable way possible: sex.”
Meghan has been dipping her toe in the dating world while in self-quarantine in California with her three children whom she shares with Jim (daughter Aspen, 3, and twin boys Hart and Hayes, who turn 2 in June). She revealed on her podcast last month that she has been going on FaceTime dates. "It’s so funny, but it’s fun and there’s no pressure," she said. "I kind of like it."
However, Meghan noted that she's nowhere near ready to introduce anyone to her children. “I haven’t brought anyone around my kids,” she shared. “It’s going to take a long time for somebody to be special enough for that to happen, which will happen, but not yet.”
