Kristen Doute Thinks Jax Taylor Will Be an "Excellent" Father One Day

Now that Tom Schwartz and Katie Maloney-Schwartz are happily married, we're curious to know which Vanderpump Rules couple will tie the knot next, as is Kristen Doute, who's madly in love with boyfriend Brian Carter and is already trying (fake) engagement rings on for size. "Part of me feels like there's this marriage bug going around because you go to a wedding — or at least I go to a wedding — and love is in the air, and you feel it," she told The Daily Dish. "But then you have someone like Stassi [Schroeder] who's as single as can be, so then is everyone gonna start breaking up? Do we all follow suit?" 

But if Kristen had to guess, she'd say that Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright will be the next Vanderpump Rules couple to hear wedding bells. "I know that Brittany is the best thing that has ever happened to Jax," she explained. "And Brittany just knows how to handle him. She knows how to be sweet and kind and sort of subdue him when he's having the Jax panic attack and a temper tantrum. But she also puts her foot down, and she's very stern. And they're hilarious together, and I just think it's a really good balance. There's no way Jax could be with anyone else."

In fact, Jax previously told The Daily Dish that Brittany has him actually thinking about getting married in the future more than ever before. "Before Brittany I was not about marriage. It was not going to happen for me. I didn't believe in marriage. Not because I didn't love Brittany, I just didn't believe in marriage. It just wasn't for me," he told The Daily Dish. "As time progresses, I'm starting to open my mind about it a little bit more because I do love her and that's something she wants. And I'm willing to bring the idea back. We'll see. I just hate divorce. I hate it. I've done a lot of things in my life, it's just kind of the one box I don't want to check off that I've done."

Where Will the Vanderpump Rules Couples Be in 5 Years?

Kristen also predicted that these two will be the first in this squad to start a family. "I feel like Brittany just wants to be a mom, and I think that's sort of the role that Jax wants for her. He wants the wife and the mom, take care of him, take care of the household," she said. "Jax wants to lay on the couch, he wants 25 sandwiches, he wants the dog bathed, the house cleaned and to make out with his girlfriend. That's all he wants in life. So yeah, I think Brittany's going to get pregnant first."  

Kristen said she just hopes they don't rush into having a baby. "I hope it's years from now, like many years, when Jax is like 50 or something," she said. 

But if and when Jax eventually does make it to fatherhood, Kristen has a lot of faith in his parental skills. "I actually think that Jax would make an excellent father, and I think it would really put him in his place. I think it would humble him," Kristen shared. "And I pray to God he only has girls. Karma at its finest."
