Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright's Son Cruz Just Had His "First Day of Soccer" (PICS)

The Valley couple reunited amid their separation for one very special reason — their son.

By Casey Suglia

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright will do anything for their son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, amid their current separation — especially as he keeps checking off big life moments, including, most recently, his first day of soccer.

How to Watch

Watch The Valley on Peacock.

In the weeks leading up to that soccer practice, The Valley cast members announced in late February that they were "taking some time apart" after being married for five years. "My focus is on being the best mom to Cruz," Brittany said in a Feb. 29 episode of her podcast, When Reality Hits with Jax & Brittany.

Brittany has continued to take that statement seriously, reuniting with Jax to take Cruz to the zoo days later and posting photos of her cuddling up with Cruz. Jax has agreed with this sentiment. "We have a child involved and we just want to do what's best for our kid," he told Page Six following their separation.

That's exactly what they did this weekend, when they went on a family outing for a milestone moment — Cruz's first-ever soccer practice.

Jax and Brittany's son Cruz Cauchi's First Day of Soccer

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright from The Valley post their son playing soccer on their Instagram stories.

Both Jax and Brittany took to their Instagram Stories on Sunday, March 24, where they gave their followers a brief glimpse inside of Cruz's first-ever soccer practice. Jax posted a video of Cruz and Brittany hand in hand as they made their way to the soccer field, with Cruz looking just a little apprehensive about it all. "First day of soccer," Jax wrote over the video.

Brittany then shared a Boomerang of Cruz, wearing an all black matching tracksuit and black sneakers with red shoelaces, kicking a yellow cone set up for soccer drills. "First soccer lesson," Brittany wrote over the video.

Although it's unclear how the soccer lesson went, it's apparent that both parents are very excited for this new hobby. Jax and Brittany are pretty big fans of sports — after all, they own a sports bar, Jax's Studio City, together. Jax even played hockey growing up and was an active young boy, according to photos from his childhood

Who knows? Maybe Cruz will be following in his dad's footsteps in the future.

Jax and Brittany's latest updates on Cruz

Their little boy is growing up so fast. Cruz will be turning three years old in just a few short weeks on April 12, and attended his first day of pre-school in January. When he isn't appearing in front of cameras on The Valley, Cruz is hanging out in Malibu, playing outdoors with his mom, and going on some very fun outings with his dad.

You can also see Cruz and all that he is up to on The Valley with his mom and dad. But, Brittany told The Daily Dish that her son was just a little wary about filming, at first. "I think like the first day we started filming, he was a little overwhelmed because there was like 10 people in our house with cameras, and sound and, you know, all the things," she said at The Valley premiere.

"After that, he just like went right into it, like the rest of us," she added. "We forget that they are even there and, you know, it was fun."

Jax told The Daily Dish that Cruz particularly liked the behind the scenes aspects of the show. "He was more into the production part," he said. "He was sitting with the crew, he loved it. Craft services was probably his favorite thing."
