Katie Maloney-Schwartz Got "A Little Misty-Eyed" When She Heard About James and Raquel’s Breakup

Earlier this month, Vanderpump Rules' James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss confirmed they had broken up about six months after they became engaged. And slowly, we've been hearing from their inner circle and getting their reactions to the split.

In the December 14 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Katie Maloney-Schwartz shared how emotional she got when she heard about the breakup. "I was shocked, honestly. I got a little tear, a little misty-eyed," Katie shared during Tuesday's WWHL.

Scheana Shay was also a guest on the same episode of WWHL, and she noted, "We were completely shocked, I had no idea," later adding that "there was no mention of trouble in paradise."

Katie and Scheana are the latest Vanderpump Rules cast members to share their take on the breakup. On WWHL last week, Ariana Madix noted that she was "absolutely floored" when she heard about the news and called the split "very shocking." Tom Sandoval added that "It was probably the most surprising moment we've had on Vanderpump Rules in years."

Earlier this week, James offered an update on what he's been up to since the news of the split broke. "Wisdom Tree never fails ….. today I wrote down all the things I’m thankful for and my intentions going forward into the new year… get ready for some [fire emoji] music," he shared on Instagram. "Love you all…"

Raquel has been moving, working, cooking, spending time bonding with her pals, and getting in "some quality girl time" alongside an adorable little pup. Previously, she thanked everyone for their support, writing in part, "Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement. I feel so grateful to have such supportive family and friends during this time. I have been surrounded by so much love."
