Dr. Contessa Metcalfe Just Shared Some Big News About Her Marriage to Dr. Scott

The Married to Medicine girls' trip to Jekyll Island came to a dramatic conclusion in the June 20 episode. After Dr. Scott Metcalfe arrived with some of his fellow Married to Medicine husbands to join his wife, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, at the getaway, the group rallied around the couple to try and help them get their marriage back on track as questions arose about the life coach he had supposedly been speaking to.

Unfortunately, Dr. Scott wasn't so receptive to their counsel, and he exited the group dinner early with Dr. Contessa. Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Quad Webb also didn't make much progress when they went to check on Dr. Contessa and Dr. Scott in their hotel room later on that night.

The next morning, Kari Wells told Toya Bush-Harris that she overheard Dr. Contessa and Dr. Scott arguing in the next room. When they went to check on the couple, Dr. Scott left the room, while Dr. Contessa expressed to her friends that she was upset with her husband.

Just as the future seemed unclear for the couple, it was revealed at the end of the Married to Medicine Season 8 finale, "Since leaving Jekyll Island, Scott and Contessa are together and vacationing with the family more. Looking like the epitome of a happily married couple."

As far as the mystery surrounding Dr. Scott's life coach goes, the update read, "Contessa doesn't know if Scott has a life coach or not. Scott says everything is fine."

Dr. Contessa opened up more about the Married to Medicine Season 8 finale and where things stand with Dr. Scott today during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on June 20, which you can view in the above clip.

When Andy Cohen asked Dr. Contessa if the other Married to Medicine women getting involved "helped or hindered" her relationship with Dr. Scott, she said, "I don't think it changed it at all."

Andy then brought up the rumors that Dr. Scott had photos of women on his phone, which Dr. Contessa seemed more hesitant to address since they are still married (the couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary in May). She ultimately noted, "But I found a lot of inappropriate things on my husband's phone." Dr. Contessa later shared that she believed her children saying Dr. Scott had "girlfriends" was "a huge red flag" and was "absolutely inappropriate."

Dr. Contessa also confirmed that she "never" got to the bottom of why Dr. Scott said that he had a female life coach at first but later said that he was talking to a man named Kevin Johnson, which she also admitted "didn't make sense" during the WWHL After Show. "We got into it at the reunion," Andy added. "And the answers were interesting."

However, Dr. Contessa had some positive news to share about the fate of her marriage to Dr. Scott while speaking about his reaction to watching his behavior on Married to Medicine. "I think it has been a challenge for me because that's what I've been trying to communicate. It's difficult to get a clear answer from him," Dr. Contessa said. "We started therapy two weeks ago, so I'm optimistic."

Andy was happy to hear this latest development for the couple. "Good, OK, that's big news," he said.
