The Vanderpump Rules cast member said the beachside vacation was among his favorite "side quests" of 2024.
Tom Schwartz is having quite the eventful summer.
In addition to his recent apartment move, the Vanderpump Rules cast member has spent the past several months traveling around North America. We’re talking everywhere from the ATL and Southampton to the Great White North and Las Vegas. But among all his fun-filled trips, Tom said there was one that stood above the rest: his romantic Mexico getaway with Sophia Skoro.
The Schwartz & Sandy's co-owner confirmed this in an August 22 Instagram post, which included highlights from his Puerto Vallarta stay. The video showed Tom and his girlfriend enjoying the gorgeous ocean views, the next-level hotel amenities, and a day of jet skiing. The Vanderpump Rules cast member also soundtracked the montage with a tune some fans may have found familiar.

"Made this jazzy little AI cover of Scheana [Shay’s] “Good as Gold” to showcase our stay [at Hotel Mousai] in Puerto Vallarta,” he captioned the post. “One of my favorite side quests this summer. Such a good vibe here! PV is officially one of my happy places . Zona Romantica, beautiful beaches.”
Tom said he was especially pleased with the hotel’s hot tubs, patio hammocks, and rooftop infinity pools.
“Post-card worthy views lead to excessive [camera] pans,” he continued. “I think my basic b***** video here is a testament to how in the moment I was there. Probably the least amount to time spent on my phone in years . That’s a testimony.”
Tom Schwartz reveals how he met his girlfriend, Sophia Skoro
Tom shared a peek at the vacation roughly four months after confirming his relationship with Sophia, an associate media planner he met at his TomTom bar. Sophia recalled their first interaction during an appearance on The Viall Files podcast, admitting she was immediately attracted to the divorcé.
“I was like, 'He's looking hot,' so I just told him," Sophia admitted in the April 16 episode. “I simply just told him, and that was it."
Tom said the feeling was mutual, but he got so “nervous” that he had to leave the bar.
“I was with Kyle Chan and I told him, 'I just met the most beautiful human being I've ever laid eyes on,' but I had no intentions of going back," he recalled. "And Kyle literally dragged me back to TomTom.”
Sophia said once they had their first dinner date, Tom “couldn’t get away from” her.
