In one of her first posts on Instagram since the news broke that she had parted ways with The Real Housewives of Orange County alum after serving as her assistant for eight years, Natalie shared a photo of herself holding her 2-month-old daughter, Piper, on her chest.

"Hearing your little breath against my chest reminds me how precious and delicate life is... it’s easy to get distracted in the daily struggles but the truth is, these are the moments that matter the most.. squeeze the ones you love a little tighter this holiday season...and every season!" Natalie wrote in the post. "This is what life is about."

She also wrote in the post, "#PerspectiveIsEverything."

As if this post wasn't precious enough, Natalie shared an adorable video of her daughter with the hiccups earlier this week.

Natalie appears to be in a better place than where she was during a video in her Instagram Story last week when she broke down in tears in the immediate aftermath of the end of her employment with Heather. "Look at me. I'm a disaster," she said in the clip. "Man, these days have been rough. They've been really rough. Thank god for family because I can't hold Piper and cry at the same time because I feel like, I don't know, I feel like it's gonna affect her somehow."

She then explained why she got so emotional in the next slide in her Instagram Story. "Sorry this is just really hard. Obviously, I'm not able to talk in detail about why these days have been so difficult but just know I appreciate the beautiful messages, love and support!" she wrote. "You made me realize I had a voice this whole time and I never even knew it."

Natalie first hinted at "the closing of a huge chapter in my life" in a post on Instagram on November 19 that has since been deleted. "Although it’s a tough pill to swallow, I know the best is yet to come!"

She then announced that she would no longer be working for Heather in another Instagram post on November 20 that has also been deleted. "This is a tough one.... For those who have followed my journey on the [Heather Dubrow's World] Podcast / Heather’s Assistant for the past 4/8 years  my journey is sadly coming to an end," Natalie wrote. "I’m sorry I won’t be able to say my proper goodbyes (as this was not by choice) but I hope to be able to still connect with you on my journey into motherhood, an unforeseen career adjustment and all of the beautiful, hideous and honest moments in between. I have so much love for you guys and have truly appreciated having you all on this crazy journey of mine! So with that, I won’t say goodbye, just see you soon!"

Heather confirmed that she and Natalie parted ways in an interview with Page Six on November 20. “It’s been a really great run together, but unfortunately the position that Natalie was doing before has changed,” she explained. “I love Natalie and offered her a full-time position with benefits in another capacity while she figured out what her next step is. She chose to decline it. It’s very sad it’s coming down in this way. I love her and really hope our relationship will stay in tact.”

The RHOC alum provided more details about Natalie's departure in the November 22 episode of her podcast, Heather Dubrow's World. "And at the end of it, I'm just telling you, there may be other things to this that I don't want to talk about, but I'll just tell you that I am choosing to move on with so much love and respect and gratitude for everything that she's added to my life and my family's life," she said. "I truly, truly hope that we will circle back and move forward."

She later spoke out about Natalie's social media posts on Twitter. "I’ve been trying to take the high road and end our business relationship amicably," she tweeted. "I had hoped to retain our personal relationship but she’s not allowing me to do so."

Heather went on to accuse Natalie of "posting lies about me" in another tweet. "I love her and it’s been very upsetting to see her post in this fashion when I’ve swallowed her disloyalty over the last year and I have said nothing," she tweeted. "Trying to figure out how to handle this."
