The Vanderpump Rules cast member headed to the East Coast earlier this year for her big Broadway debut.
Ariana Madix knows how to balance work and play.
After a busy year of TV gigs and endorsement deals, the Vanderpump Rules cast member headed to New York City last month to fulfill a lifelong dream of performing on Broadway. Ariana announced the move back in early December, confirming she had landed the iconic role of Roxie Hart in Chicago, the second-longest-running show in Broadway history.
“It feels really incredible to be doing this. Every personal move and career move has all led to this,” she told the New York Theatre Guide about the opportunity. “This was always and forever what I wanted to do, so for it to be happening — it’s really, really exciting… It’s the longest-running show [currently] on Broadway for a reason. There’s so many incredible female parts, and I love the story that is being told. And Roxie is just the coolest! To have the opportunity to play her is really, really amazing.”
The Florida native made her much-anticipated Broadway debut on January 29 and received a standing ovation at the Ambassador Theatre.

After leading the show to its highest-grossing non-holiday performance week, Ariana treated herself to a much-needed day of R&R. Her boyfriend, NYC-based fitness trainer Daniel Wai, documented their leisure time in a series of Instagram posts, beginning with their stop at AIRE Ancient Baths.
“What a relaxing time,” he captioned a photo of their visit.
Following their thermal bath experience, Ariana and Daniel grabbed a bite to eat at an Asian restaurant, where they looked to expand their palates.
“Find a girl that will eat and try any foods with you,” Daniel wrote in a Story, which showed Ariana in front of the mouth-watering spread.
But the fun didn't stop there. Daniel returned to the 'Gram several hours later to share their evening on Broadway. And, no, Ariana didn't conclude the day with another stage performance; she instead sat in the audience and watched the Tony-winning production of Hamilton: An American Musical.
“What a good show!” Daniel captioned of Story of him and Ariana at the Richards Rodgers Theater. “This one hit different.”
Ariana Madix reveals if she's open to having kids with Daniel Wai
The couple began dating in April of 2023, nearly two months after Ariana announced her split from Tom Sandoval. She spoke about her new man in Vanderpump Rules Season 11, Episode 2 when Lala Kent asked if she could envision herself having kids with Daniel.
“I think he’s opened my mind and he’s opened my eyes to a lot of different possibilities that I could not see,” Ariana responded.
The Single AF Cocktails author expanded on her position in an episode interview, explaining why she was opposed to having kids while dating Tom.
“In retrospect, Tom being my partner affected my feelings on having kids a lot more than I thought it did,” she said. “I feel like, with Dan, I’ve kind of had my eyes open to the fact that there are a lot of different types of partners out there who would actually be a real 50/50 partner… Or if I could only give 10 percent that day, he’s ready to give 90 [percent].”
