Why Gina Kirschenheiter Says Being Betrayed by Emily Simpson Was Worse Than Going to Jail
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member explains how she felt set-up by her canceled date.
Gina Kirschenheiter has had a difficult year. In addition to her divorce, The Real Housewives of Orange County mom was also arrested and charged with a DUI. So she was understandably excited for a fresh start when she was asked on a date by a relative of Shane Simpson's, Emily Simpson's husband. However, her excitement soon turned to disappointment when he canceled because of a broken toe and she felt set up.
"This is where I get into this weird territory with Emily because I don't know if I can trust him and I like to give my friend the benefit the doubt, but he's like, 'Emily and Shane told me it was going to be a fake date,'" Gina revealed on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show.
And the rejection especially stung as she considers Emily one of her closest friends. "When you get your heart broken again like that... that is worse than what had come before it," Gina said, noting that it was actually worse than going to jail.
