Gigi Hadid Opens Up About Life After Modeling

"It's not just OK anymore to model until you're 25 and then stop and be a housewife."

By Jocelyn Vena

Gigi Hadid has skyrocketed to become one of the top model's in the industry this year. Not only is she one of the go-to faces for designers to enlist for fashion weeks around the globe, but she's also one of the most coveted stars used in many A-list campaigns.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

But she's already thinking about her future—and what she might do once she stops modeling. She told Ad Week that she's considering a number of options, including hosting a talk show or cooking show.

"I'm an entertainer, and I think that I'll always be in that business," Yolanda Foster's little girl revealed.

Then again, there's a whole different route she might want to take. Considering she had been studying criminal psychology at The New School before taking a leave of absence to model, she says she might use that interest in her next career chapter. In fact, she would love to go back to school to finish her degree.

"Who knows?" she said. "I could always be a fact-checker on CSI."

The 19-year-old noted that it's important for models of her generation, like pal Kendall Jenner, to always be plotting out their next act.

"What people want to know is, 'OK, what's after modeling?' And that's forcing us to think about those things [even earlier]," Hadid said. "It's not just OK anymore to model until you're 25 and then stop and be a housewife."

For now, Gigi remains one of the biggest names in the fashion industry and that includes having a must-read Instagram account. "I think it's always come naturally to just be genuine on social media and to put things into words that people can relate to, rather than putting things in a way that makes them feel that they can't be a part of it," she shared about her social media presence.
