Garcelle Shares Update on Relationship with Her Sons and Co-Parenting with Her Ex After Emotional RHOBH Season 13 Journey
Hear Garcelle Beauvais reflect on her difficult conversation with Jax and Jaid at the RHOBH Season 13 reunion.
Garcelle Beauvais kicked off Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills by having an emotional conversation with her twin sons, Jax and Jaid Nilon. Though the talk was productive, the actress left "feel[ing] like a failure," and as a result, was determined to strengthen her respective relationships with each teenager, as well as better balance motherhood with her acting and other TV roles.

Reunion host Andy Cohen broached the subject of Garcelle's relationship with Jax and Jaid by noting, "That scene on the beach with the boys, it was rough."
The Watch What Happens Live emcee then asked if she's been "more selective" with her work projects, although he followed-up the question with the acknowledgement that she probably always has been.
Garcelle, for her part, agreed. "I've always been, which is one of the reasons I'm doing reality [TV] honestly," she said. "Because I needed to be home. Everything I was doing was taking me away. So when [RHOBH] came around, I was like, 'Yeah, let me consider it.' It keeps me home!"
In addition to being home with her boys more, Garcelle's also made an effort to continue having open discussions about tougher topics — especially since she said her ex-husband won't have them at all. "I take on so much responsibility with talking about sex, talking about feelings, because if they don't get it from me, they're not gonna get it anywhere else," she explained.
At BravoCon 2023, Garcelle shared more insight into her current dynamic with Jax and Jaid.
"As a single mom, you know: we do the best we can," Garcelle said. "It's really interesting because, when that scene happened it was obviously a knife to the heart. I thought I was doing a good job. Was I perfect? No. But because of that conversation and ongoing conversations Jax and I are in a better place. And I'm glad he did that because I don't know if we would have gotten there."
