Gina Kirschenheiter Says Shane Simpson Isn't Solely Responsible for the Issues in His Marriage

Emily Simpson's husband, Shane Simpson, has certainly caused a stir with his comments to his wife on The Real Housewives of Orange County. But when it comes to the issues in their marriage that we see on RHOC, it's a two-way street, according to Gina Kirschenheiter.

Following the couple's tense dinner in Tuesday night's episode of RHOC, Gina gave her take on the buzzy relationship during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (clip below). "It's hard for me, obviously my situation as well, I never want to see anybody being treated like that. I don't even think Shane respects me or any of her friends, let alone her, so that's very difficult," she explained. "But I do think there are very deep-seated problems there that involve both of them. Do I think he's handling them well? No. Do I think that's coming out well? No."

Gina added, "I do think there are things on both sides."

Emily came to Shane's defense in The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 14 After Show, above. "I feel like he gets a bad rap unnecessarily," she said. "I mean, can he be a jerk? Absolutely. We've been married for 11 years, so obviously there's more to Shane than just this one-dimensional character."

She even expressed a similar sentiment to Gina's comments, sharing that they both contribute to the conflict in their relationship. "There isn't a woman out there that's married and has been married for a long time that has not said, 'Yeah, my husband can be a jerk,'" Emily said. "I mean, I'm a jerk, he's a jerk, that's what marriage is about."
