Drake's New Album Contains a Lot of Love for the Hadid Family (UPDATED)
Scorpion shouts out Mohamed Hadid directly and may secretly also reference rumored paramour Bella Hadid.
UPDATE (July 1, 2018, 12:20 p.m.): Bella has responded to the rumor that Drizzy is rapping about her on his buzzy new release. And gossip lovers everywhere are going to be disappointed, E! News notes, as she has shut down the speculation that he's spilling all about a romance that may have brewed between them. After one fan wrote about the gossip on Twitter with the comment, "Probably, who hasn't he banged," well, Bella had this to say about the comment and responded, "Not me!! That's disrespectful. WHY CANT PPL BE FRIENDS W/o all the insinuation."

Drake is the latest pop star to make reference to Mohamed Hadid with his work. Jennifer Lopez filmed her flashy, cash-burning video for "Dinero" with DJ Khaled and Cardi B at Mohamed's Le Belvédère estate, which was sold in May for a mere $56 million, and now Drake has shouted out Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid's dad in his new album Scorpion. In "Sandra's Rose," which is named after his mother Sandi Graham (there's also a gossip blogger named Sandra Rose), Drake raps, "My house is full of supermodels, just like Mohamed Hadid."
But the Hadid love doesn't stop there — it's widely speculated that another album track called "Finesse" is all about Bella, whom he was rumored to be dating briefly last fall. "Finesse" contains references to New York Fashion Week, beautiful eyes, and hiding a relationship, which has led Elle and other publications to decide that the song is definitely, probably, maybe all about Bella.
Last year, Drake threw Bella a 21st birthday party (and then threw a Re-Bar Mitzvah birthday for his 31st). Bella's mom, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Yolanda Hadid, admitted that the two are friends when she appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, but wouldn't say if anything had turned romantic (watch the clip above). Fast forward to 2018 and Drake has admitted to fathering a child with another woman and Bella is going on romantic Parisian dates with her on-again, off-again, maybe on-again beau The Weeknd. There's a lot of potential material for songs.
