Dr. Contessa Metcalfe Reacts to That Moment With Anila Sajja's Mom
Dr. Heavenly Kimes also looks back on her blogger comments about the newest Married to Medicine cast member.
Anila Sajja may be the newest addition to Married to Medicine, but she has already started to make waves among some of the longtime cast members.
Anila's attempt to broker peace between Toya Bush-Harris and Dr. Contessa Metcalfe at her family's Rakhi celebration in the March 21 episode of Married to Medicine ended with the doctor leaving the event early (clip above). That was despite Anila's mother's efforts at getting Dr. Contessa to stay.
When asked about the dinner and that moment with Anila's mom during her March 28 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Dr. Contessa said, "I wish I would have stayed at home and not come."
Dr. Contessa and Anila discussed what happened at the Rakhi celebration during the March 28 episode of Married to Medicine. Dr. Contessa expressed that she didn't feel like Anila's mom acted appropriately in trying to get her to stay, while Anila said that her family felt like it was "so disrespectful" to walk out on a dinner early.
"We're all different, and some stuff that you think is so important, I may not think is very important. But I'm also open to hear what you have to say. I am so sorry that I offended your mom," Dr. Contessa told Anila, who accepted the apology and hugged her new friend.
Dr. Heavenly Kimes also had something to say about Anila as Dr. Contessa's fellow guest on WWHL this week. The dentist addressed her comments about Anila's blogging career. "Usually people that blog, it's a hobby, it's not their main job," Dr. Heavenly said of telling Anila that she didn't think blogging was "a job" on Married to Medicine.
Anila defended her career to Dr. Heavenly in the March 28 episode of Married to Medicine, saying, "It gives me income, and that's it. Done."
