Amanda Batula Clarifies Her Current Role at Loverboy: "For the Sake of the Relationship..."
The Summer House cast member revealed why she decided to "take a step back" from her and Kyle Cooke's beverage company.
As Amanda Batula discussed on Summer House Season 8, Episode 10, she's recently been considering making a career move to do her "own thing" (like a swimsuit line) after years of working at Kyle Cooke's beverage company, Loverboy.
"My whole identity has become him and what he does," Amanda explained in the Summer House Season 8 After Show video above. "Even when I started the show, I did not want to be front and center, so I kind of hid behind Kyle in his shadow. Because of that, I was sort of treated that way. I kind of of became a part of Kyle ... When I quit my job and was working for Loverboy, you know, I'm working for him. Everything was surrounding him."
Now, Amanda is revealing her current status with the company and sharing how she and Kyle are navigating their relationship amidst their work-related challenges
Does Amanda Batula still work at Loverboy?
Yes, but her responsibilities have changed.
During a recent interview with The Daily Dish, Amanda talked all things Loverboy, first sharing how she and Kyle "organically" chose to have her "take a step back."
"I'm just not as involved in the day-to-day. So we can sort of heal our relationship, but I'm still very much so a part of it — all the decision-making and the big aspects of the brand," she shared.

Kyle Cooke wants to “go back to the basics” with Amanda Batula
On the Season 8 premiere of Summer House, we saw the two discuss how Loverboy has affected their relationship.
While hanging out at the carnival with their housemates, Kyle told Amanda he wanted them to “spend more time together” in the Hamptons. Amanda wasn't opposed to the idea, but she did note that Kyle's lack of "presence" was because he stayed at the "office" when they were back home.
“I kind of want to go back to the basics where we are a little more inseparable,” Kyle responded, to which Amanda replied, “We’ll figure it out.”

But while Amanda is taking a "step back" from Loverboy, Kyle's good pal and former employee Carl Radke is stepping in.
Though the businessman left the company in February 2023, he announced at BravoCon 2023 he was back at the company on a "part-time basis" to assist with the company's new "non-alcoholic product."
In a February conversation with The Daily Dish, Carl shared how he and Kyle decided to work together again and why he felt drawn to the new product line.
"It speaks to me personally, it speaks to my passion to help people who don’t drink feel more comfortable," Carl, who celebrated three years of sobriety in January, explained. "The fact that we’re now offering a non-alcoholic version of Loverboy is just incredible."
