Amanda Batula Is Ready to Make a Dramatic Career Change: "It's Time" (VIDEO)
The Summer House cast member opens up about her "big dreams" of starting her "own thing."
On Season 8 of Summer House, Amanda Batula has expressed some of her frustrations about working with Kyle Cooke at his company, Loverboy. As Amanda reveals in the video above, she has an entirely different dream when it comes to her career.
In the clip, which is a preview of Summer House Season 8, Episode 10, Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller talk to Amanda about her career path.
"When I think of you, I see you as like running a company or, like, all these brands are like, 'We gotta get Amanda Batula on this and see what her eye [is],'" Paige says. "I just see you at photo shoots being like, 'No, no, this is cooler.'" Ciara adds that she pictures Amanda "being the creative director of a brand."
"I feel like you said that," Ciara says to Amanda. "Like you thought you would work your way up and be a creative director."
Amanda Batula opens up about the "difficulties" of working at Loverboy
Amanda explains that's essentially what she's "doing now" at Loverboy, "but, obviously, there's more hurdles and difficulties when you work with your husband."
"I just kind of let Kyle do his thing," Amanda says. "And I'm just happy to follow along."

Ciara then asks Amanda, "Do you feel like you have an identity outside of Kyle and Loverboy? Because I don't...You're so f-cking creative."
Paige agrees, telling Amanda, "You have so much potential to do whatever you [want]. We can blame it on Kyle all day long. I love doing that, but you hold yourself back."
Ciara suggests, "It's time to do something for you and get out of your own way."
Amanda Batula reveals she wants to start a swimsuit line
As it turns out, Amanda has a big career goal that is very different from her current role at Loverboy. "I've always thought about doing swimsuits," she says.
"When I was younger, I had big dreams of being a fashion designer," she explains in an interview. "In high school, I took a 'fashion design class,' but my inability to sew shut down those hopes and dreams. But I can design, and I know what I like, so it just seems like it's time for me to maybe create my own thing."
Although Paige tells Amanda, "I think you would be great at it," Amanda admits she often gets discouraged from starting the process of designing her own line. "It's like, 'Where do I begin?' and then I get overwhelmed, and I'm like, 'You know what, that's a dumb idea,'" she says.
However, Paige encourages her to take the plunge, declaring, "Anything you do, you're gonna f-cking crush it."
