Erika Jayne Is Dancing to One of Her Songs on Dancing with the Stars — Here's What Else We Want to See
We have high hopes for the #RHOBH songstress' #DWTS debut.
Erika Jayne will make her Dancing with the Stars debut when Season 24 premieres on March 20, and we could not be more excited. We have the highest of hopes that she's going to kick ass in the competition (um, have you seen this girl move on stage?), but the thing about knowing and loving The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills songstress is that there are also a lot of things that we hope don't get lost about her iconic persona when she takes the DWTS stage.
So in anticipation of the RHOBH performer's first dance, we've come up with a list of things we hope to see throughout what is sure to be a fierce season of DWTS. Here's to a truly unforgettable Erika Jayne experience for us all!
1. Iconic Dance Moves
Everyone knows "Pat the Puss" is Erika's signature dance move. Although that might be more burlesque than ballroom, I'm still holding out hope that the RHOBH diva will slip one in during her time on DWTS. And with so many other smooth moves in Erika's repertoire, I can't imagine she won't work in some hairography or rolling around on the floor, you know, the usual. Now if only Erika's creative director Mikey Minden would be tapped to choreograph one (or all, we're not really picky) of her routines, her time on DWTS would truly be magical.
2. Jaw-Dropping Fashions
If Erika brought her Glam Squad to help her stay looking fabulous for a few days in Dubai or Hong Kong, we can only imagine that she's going to have them in tow during her time on DWTS. Erika has previously pledged to "push every limit ABC will let me do" with her fashion on DWTS, and we are definitely holding her to that. We want to see some big, blonde hair, bold makeup, envelope-pushing gowns, the works. And if she can bust a move in all of that couture, even better.
3. Her Magnificent Music
We already know that Erika's DWTS debut is going to be super rich. You want to know why? ABC has announced that Erika and her professional partner Gleb Savchenko will be dancing to her latest single "XXPEN$IVE" for her first dance on the show. This is amazing news, and exactly what we wanted to happen. But would it be too much to ask to keep this trend going and have Erika dance to every one of her singles during future routines? We mean, she has had nine No.1 singles on Billboard's Dance Club chart, after all. How could you not give a paso doble to "PAINKILLR," a jive to "How Many F***s," and a samba to "Pretty Mess" a perfect 10 every time?
4. Some Dancing *and* Singing
OK, so really what we're saying is we just want every episode of DWTS to be like an Erika Jayne concert, and that means we want to hear her belt out those legendary tunes, too. We know this is strictly a dancing competition, and that would totally make things more challenging for Erika, but we have no doubt that she could handle it.
5. Priceless Reactions from the Judges
Erika always turns heads whenever she enters a room, so we expect everyone who watches her on DWTS to be absolutely wowed. That especially goes for the judges. I just want to see Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli's reactions when Erika does her "Pretty Mess" thing on that stage. Give us some GIF-able moments, guys!
6. Some Very Special People in the Audience
DWTS contestants often have some famous friends in the audience to support them. Naturally, we're hoping that the RHOBH ladies come out to show their girl some love, especially Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump, who have previously competed on DWTS. Wouldn't it be great if other DWTS alums and fellow Housewives NeNe Leakes, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and Kim Fields also showed up in the audience?
But we think it would be quite the coup if Erika's busy husband Tom Girardi sat in on a performance. All we want to see is that beaming smile of his showing how proud he is of his lady love. And it would be unreal if the DWTS cameras captured Erika's son in the seats since he keeps a low profile as a police officer in Los Angeles. We haven't even seen him on RHOBH. But since Erika's son is camera shy, this is one wish that unfortunately probably won't come true.
7. She Reigns Supreme
DWTS has rounded up a wonderful cast of celebs, but we're definitely rooting for our girl Erika to take home the coveted Mirrorball Trophy this season. She has the talent, stage presence, and beauty to nab that title of champion. Bring it home, Erika!
