How Is NeNe's Friendship with Cynthia Bailey & Peter Thomas Affected by Their Separation?

Just as NeNe Leakes rebuilt her friendship with Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas last season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the trio faced a new challenge. After a tense season for the couple, Cynthia revealed her separation from Peter to The Daily Dish last month.

It sounds like NeNe has remained a source of comfort for Cynthia during this difficult time. "I talked with her this morning," NeNe told Andy Cohen during Thursday night's episode of Watch What Happens Live (clip above). "She's doing good."

And it sounds like Cynthia is reciprocating the love since she was the only RHOA Housewife to attend's NeNe's comedy show, the RHOA alum said.

But it doesn't look like NeNe is choosing sides as Cynthia and Peter work out their issues. She revealed on WWHL that she had also been texting with Peter that day and that he is "doing good" as well. Peter also came out to support NeNe at her one-woman show in April amid news that his marriage had hit a rough patch once again.

That's maybe more than we can say for NeNe's relationship with Porsha Williams. A feud has been rumored to be brewing between the two since Porsha and her DISH Nation co-hosts criticized NeNe after last season's RHOA reunion. NeNe insisted that she's "not feuding with Porsha," but Porsha "might be." "Her and her little job over there, DISH Nation," NeNe continued. "Yeah, they always talk about me, but I help their ratings, so they should continue."

As for reports that Kenya Moore and her boyfriend Matt Jordan are on the outs, NeNe said she's "not surprised." "I didn't think they were a match. I don't think he's Kenya's type," NeNe told Andy, adding that she thinks Kenya's type is "not Matt."

NeNe also gave an update on where things stand between Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks after their friendship seemed more strained than ever last season of RHOA. "I don't think they're friends," NeNe said of the pair.

Phaedra and Kandi Debate the Apollo Situation

The two do have a lot on their plates these days, what with Kandi giving birth to son Ace Wells Tucker in January and Phaedra still dealing with her estranged husband Apollo Nida's prison sentence. On both of those fronts, NeNe said she hasn't seen Baby Tucker yet, but she sent Kandi "a nice gift," and she doesn't know what's going on between Phaedra and Apollo these days, although "he's in prison, so they couldn't be doing too good," she said.
