Caroline Manzo Remembers Regis Philbin and Reveals the Iconic Thing He Once Did for her
The Manzo'd with Children mom opened up about one of the reasons she'll never forget the television legend.
Regis Philbin, most popularly known as the host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and LIVE! with Regis and Kathie Lee, passed away on Friday, July 24 at the age of 88. The television legend was loved by all, including Caroline Manzo. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum shared a tribute to Philbin in a July 26 Instagram post, in which she opened up about a special connection they once shared.
“I had the pleasure of being in the company of Regis Philbin several times over the years. He was always kind, gracious, and funny,” explained the Manzo’d with Children matriarch. “Each time I was on his show, he made a point of saying hello and would have a conversation backstage before going live on camera.”
Caroline also revealed that Regis once did something really hilarious that she will never forget.
“Nothing will ever top the year he decided to dress as me for Halloween. The thrill of having an icon such as Regis Philbin acting out as Caroline Manzo will always be one of my greatest memories of my television days! May he rest in peace,” wrote Caroline.
