Captain Lee Rosbach Reveals the Moment Izzy Wouters Left Him "Speechless"
"It's not often I get caught off guard," the Below Deck boss said.
In a Below Deck season full of personnel changes and even a demotion, deckhand Izzy Wouters has still managed to let her star shine. The Season 8 crew member was promoted to lead deckhand in the January 25 episode of Below Deck.
Bosun Eddie Lucas opened up more about his decision to promote Izzy in the above clip from the Below Deck After Show exclusive to Bravo Insider. "I thought that Izzy was really putting the effort in," Eddie said. "She always was really proficient in everything she was doing, her confidence was growing, and she also wanted to learn more and she wanted to do more, and she wanted to take on more responsibility, and that's the biggest thing. If you want that responsibility, if you have that drive, I am 100 percent happy giving it to you and helping to lead you through it."
Captain Lee Rosbach agreed with Eddie's decision, also sharing in the Below Deck After Show, "I always thought Izzy was a diamond in the rough."
That was perhaps never more apparent than in one Season 8 moment with Izzy that made Captain Lee's jaw drop. "It's not often I get caught off guard, but that one just left me speechless," Captain Lee recalled. "I had nothing."
