Chris Bassett Reacts to Candiace Dillard Bassett's Shopping Habits — Including a New $2,395 Purse
The Real Housewives of Potomac cast member explained to her husband why she needed "retail therapy."
There are a few challenges Candiace Dillard Bassett and her husband, Chris Bassett, have faced on Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Potomac, most notably Candiace trying to balance her singing career with spending quality time at home.
In a preview for Episode 13 of RHOP, which will air on Sunday, February 18 at 8/7c, the couple discusses some of those recent challenges while Chris also takes his wife to task for a recent pricey purchase.

"Did you go shopping?" Chris asks Candiace in the clip above, as Candiace brings out a bright purple Christian Dior mini bag from a shopping bag. The adorable accessory features a long gold chain strap, gold hardware, and a colorful scarf tied around the handle.
"This is from two weeks ago, when my mom was here and I took her to Dior," Candiace explains.
"So ... money that you spent that you really didn't need to because obviously it wasn't that important [because] it's still in the box two weeks later?" Chris lamented, much to Candiace's chagrin.
"No," Candiace retorted. "[It's] money that I spent because I needed retail therapy because I'm busy and exhausted and I haven't had time to open it."

"Well, you know ... not to be a nag or anything," Chris responded, to which Candiace promptly interjected with a laugh, "Then shut up."
Candiace then proceeded to show off the goods to her husband, who played along by noting how "beautiful" the bag was. After guessing if the accessory had a price tag of "four digits," Candiace confirmed, "It's four digits." A note onscreen revealed the purse was $2,395.

Though Chris may not be exactly pleased about Candiace's expensive find, we're sure the "Drive Back" singer is more than thrilled to add another beautiful item to her colorful closet.
In an exclusive video tour of Candiace's closet, the songstress showed off numerous goodies, including an "exclusive" bottle of Parfums de Marly and a collection of colorful sunglasses. "I'm also obsessed with sunglasses," Candiace noted in the video, trying on a pair of lime green rectangular-shaped sunnies.
In addition to a "long hanging section" for "cocktail dresses" and the like, Candiace also revealed the "crown jewel" of the space: her several stacked shelves with heels, sneakers, and boots.
One of the best items in Candiace's closet? A Candiace Dillard Bassett Barbie which channeled the former beauty pageant competitor in her pageant days. One word: obsessed.
