Camille Grammer Reveals Her Children Weren't Thrilled About Her Marriage to Husband David C. Meyer
The RHOBH new bride also shares what her ex-husband, Kelsey Grammer, had to do with their reluctance.
Camille Grammer's October 2018 nuptials with husband David C. Meyer were like a fairy tale — but there were two people who weren't sharing in the bliss of the wedding. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills new bride revealed her kids weren't exactly happy she was getting remarried following her 2011 divorce from ex-husband Kelsey Grammer. In The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show, Camille shared why her children were reluctant to accept David into their lives.
"My son is very close to my ex-husband because it's his father, I understand that," Camille said. "So I don't know the psychology behind it but it's taking him a little longer to come around to David. My daughter, in the beginning, she was hesitant because it's Mom and no one wants to share their time with their mother. Even at the wedding, she was upset that I was getting married. It's like, 'Smile, [Mason],' and she didn't want to smile. She was sad: She even cried toward the end of the reception, she was upset because she didn't want to lose her mom... Because she felt that she lost her dad when her dad got married. But I wouldn't do that to my children."
Luckily, it seems like things are getting better between the Grammer kids and their new stepfather, whom Camille calls a "great dad" to his two sons from a previous relationship. She said, "He's good with my kids; my daughter adores him. My son's making his way into that direction; he's not there yet. It's difficult blending families. This is a whole new journey for me."
