Brittany Cartwright Explains Hosting Podcast with Jax Taylor But Says “Space is Needed”
Here's why The Valley cast members are still co-hosting their podcast together amid their marriage separation.
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are still figuring things out amid their separation after four years of marriage. After The Valley cast members announced that they were separating in February, they have been working on navigating the intricacies of everything, which also means trying to work out the process of co-hosting a podcast with one another.
Jax and Brittany launched When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany in 2023 and continue to record with one another and drop episodes weekly. Although the status of their marriage might be up in the air, Brittany revealed the status of the future of their podcast in an interview with People — and safe to say, everything is OK for the time being.

It's not easy being separated and being co-workers at the same time, but Brittany told People that their working relationship is just a working relationship and they will continue to record together until they no longer can.
"It's a job for us," Brittany told People. "We've got to make money for our future, for our son, for his future. That's what really matters. We're going to be in each other's lives no matter what, whether we get back together or we don't, so I'd rather be able to be around each other than absolutely hate each other. Let's just pray it doesn't get to that."
Still, she told the publication that "the space is needed" as they work on their relationship and themselves all while working together.

While they might rely on one another to make money for their future, Brittany revealed on WWHL some surprising details about her financial situation with Jax. "We have separate accounts," Brittany told Andy Cohen on April 2, adding that they "always have" had them.
In addition to working together on the podcast, they are in the process of figuring out who lives where, while also figuring out when to reunite for their 2-year-old son, Cruz. "Jax is a great father, I will give him that," Brittany said during an April 2 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
